Chapter 6: The class president
"What is it like to have the symbol of peace as your teacher?" Or "Is All Might a good teacher?" Those questions echoed out in front of UA as reporters gave questions for hours to every student and teacher who entered UA some weren't even from class 1-A they just happened to walk in and this is also what happened to Mike
"How is it like having All Might as your teacher?" A reporter was shoveling a mike into Mike's mouth and Mike really didn't want to speak to reporters they are too annoying in his opinion so he opened a "Room" and shambled himself with a rock on the UA grounds disappearing before the reporter's eyes
Once he was inside UA Mike made his way towards his classroom and yet again he was late so he excused himself when entering before sitting down on his seat
"Bakugo stops acting like a child, Midori do you always want to destroy your arm? If you continue on this way you won't push very far. As for you Mike well I can only congratulate you for being one of the most powerful students ever but also nag you about your habit of being late." Aizawa was currently giving out the evaluation papers of yesterdays battle trial while giving comments along the way which is mostly scolding besides praising Momo and Mike but even Mike wasn't completely spared from Aizawa's scolding
"Sorry to spring it suddenly on you but you also have to pick the class president." When Aizawa started talking about him springing something suddenly everybody tensed up beside Mike, of course, thinking it is going to be a pop quiz or something similar but once they heard about picking a class president everybody lifted their hand up in hopes of being chosen as the class president
"Be quiet! You can't just become class president. A class president has to be a powerful yet smart person not just anybody. So I advise we do a vote!" Iida spoke up after hearing everyone ramble on about wanting to be class president not like he was any different from them he is just discretely boasting about himself giving himself a further edge in the coatings
"But everyone would just vote for themselves!" Eijirou made a logical conclusion which is extremely rare for a macho man like him who relies more on his instinct and brawn over his brain
"That makes it even more impressive when a person gets more votes!" But Iida's proposition is even more logical or rather unlogical what if everyone gets only 1 vote?
But it seems that to class 1-A Iida's proposition is alright so they all nodded their head and agreed to do a vote
"Sensei can we vote?" Seeing that everyone agrees Iida turns towards Aizawa to ask for confirmation
"As long as you decide by the deadline," Aizawa responded with his usual sloppy expression while he is in a camping bed staying still like a sleeping worm
An hour later the results are out and Mike got 5 votes most likely from Izuku, Ochako, Momo, Iida and Todoroki who has been staring at him the whole day while in second place came Momo who got 1 vote from Mike and 1 vote probably from Mineta
"So we're colleagues now huh Mike?" Momo seeing that she is only a vice president got a little upset but knowing that she will be working with Mike made her happy inside not just because he is handsome and brilliant but also because he has a kind personality and is similar to her
"Well, not really. Alright since the class has picked me as president I declare Momo as vice president and Iida as president!" Some of the girls were a little envious of Momo for being able to work with someone as handsome, brilliant, powerful and kind as Mike while Mineta and Denki were envious of Mike for being able to work with a beauty such as Momo but once they heard his words everyone was surprised
"Why Mike? Did I or we do something wrong?" Momo was the first to react and she was actually a little hurt from the inside as even thou she doesn't know it yet she has started to develop a little crush on Mike as Mike is everything a girl can ask for Handsome, powerful, intelligent, confident and he has a good personality he checks all her boxes
"No, you did nothing wrong. I just think that Iida is a better class president than me. That's all." Seeing Momo's expression made Mike chuckle a bit as she looked really cute at that moment
"Thank you, Mike! I won't betray your trust!" Seeing that Mike the top scorer of the entrance exam thinks so highly of him Iida felt honored and he didn't want to betray Mike's trust
"Don't worry about it just do your best Iida. And Momo Iida might be a little eccentric so please help him if he needs it." Mike waved his hands once he saw Iida thanking him so much before turning to Momo and putting trust into her as well
"Yes, Mike!" Seeing that Mike decided to trust her made Momo energetic again and so she decided to work hard as to not disappoint as a class vice-president and so as to not let down Mike who put his trust in her
At lunch, Iida again thanked Mike and the topic somehow got to about Iida's family which he explains is generation old superhero family
Iida also explained that his brother is the turbo hero Ingenium which Izuku fanboyed about and stated all matter of facts while Iida praised his brother quite highly and surprisingly Iida smiled for the first time
[Security level 3 has been breached. Students please promptly evacuate.] As Mike was enjoying his time in the cafeteria with Ochako, Izuku, and Iida they suddenly heard the sound of the siren and it turns out someone infiltrated the school grounds
Mass panic and hysteria broke loose amongst the students even thou the intruders were just the press it didn't matter to these high school students to them anyone who breaches UA is a formidable villain who can easily kill them
Actually, the fact that the intruders were just the press made it even more difficult to handle as the pro heroes can't beat them up or chase them away easily
"Go Iida it's your turn to shine. I have confidence in you." Seeing the scene Mike knew what had to be done so he propelled Iida forward
Iida seeing the situation knew that someone had to calm the masses but he didn't know who that is until Mike spoke to him
Turning around Iida saw Mike looking at him with eyes full of confidence and that's when he noticed that if there is no one to calm the students then make somebody who can calm them
"Urahara make me float!" Iida nodded at Mike and set off to do his plan, by making himself float and then turning on his quirk engine Iida arrived at the exit high up in the air but this time unlike in the manga or anime he couldn't grab on to the pipe but he didn't fall
"Everybody calm down it' okay! It is just the press so let's behave like the prestigious UA students we are!"
Iida's voice penetrated the crowd and sent a powerful message that coupled with his funny look made all the students stop and the hysteria calmed down
Soon the police arrived and there were no major injuries while the reporters withdrew from UA
Later everyone praised Iida for his quick thinking and his heroic actions making them all believe that Iida is indeed perfect for the role of class president
"It is not me you should be praising. Mike is the one who pushed me forward and just when I was about to fall because I didn't grab on to the pipe he saved me with his gas." Iida was happy at the praise and that he became a legit class president acknowledged for his abilities but he wanted for Mike to be recognized as well since Mike is the one who helped him the most
"Nonsense. It is because you had a brave and rigorous heart from the beginning that you could achieve your success. I am just a catalyst that speeds up your talent and helped you grow." Mike still remains humble even in front of such praise but that made him seem even more amazing in the eyes of his fellow students
Since the alarm went off all classes were canceled so, Mike did what he always does, goes home and trains for as long as he can
So ended another hectic day in the UA academia until a new one came tomorrow
"Be the hero that everyone needs whether its a flood or any other disaster. The trial of rescue. You will be supervised by a 3 man team composing of me, All Might and somebody else. You can choose to wear or not to wear your costumes this time since some of them are not really suitable for the tasks at hand. We will be going by bus." Today class 1-A will be going to USJ to train to rescue heroes and while Aizawa explained today's activities also handed out coffers containing the hero suits
Mike decided to put on his costume since it makes him look like a certified badass
Iida tried to make everyone go into the bus in an orderly manner but he failed since the bus they were in and the standard buses were different so all his efforts went to waste
Mike was seated next to Ochako and they talked for quite some time that is until they heard what the people behind them were talking about
"Izuku your quirk is like All Might's." Tsuyu was the first to talk about that topic and soon all kinds of talks about what the best quirk is began
Eijirou immediately jumped in and pointed out the differences between these 2 quirks while also being a little envious of Izuku's quirk
Soon after that Aoyama too came into the conversation stating how his quirk is both powerful and flashy but he was shot down by Ashido by her explaining all the weaknesses of Aoyama's quirk and there are quite a few of them
After that, they talked about the flashy and strong quirks mentioning Bakugo and Todoroki which was then followed by the cursing of Bakugo as they only talked about his personality in a bad light
"Well if you ask me the best quirk is Mike's quirk. I mean think about it Mike is although hate to admit it handsome and he has a good personality. He is very smart as he can be on par with Momo in an intellectual conversation. But most of all his quirk is not only powerful but flashy and versatile as well so if you ask me Mike's got the best chance at going pro and making it big." At some point, Mike was mentioned by Eijirou and surprise (not really) surprise everybody agreed that Mike is basically perfect
Soon they arrived at the U.S.J. or rather Ultimate Space for Jams but jokingly referred to as Universal Studious Japan
It is a ginormous place with every kind of disaster from landslides to floods and fires all, types of disasters were present and made to be overcome by heroes in training so that they can save as many people as possible
"Hello and welcome to the U.S.J. I'm the professional hero No.13. This is a practical training area I have made to stimulate all kinds of accidents and disasters." A man in a white and black astronauts suit came up and explained the place while Izuku and even Ochako were fanboying about the guy
"Hey, 13 where's All Might? He should be here by now." Aizawa approached No.13 and asked the question that had been on his mind for a while now
"He was hero-ing it while commuting up and until accidentally his time was up." Quietly approaching Aizawa No.13 lifted 3 fingers up and whispered so that Aizawa can hear him but the students can't
"Before we begin let's just talk about 1 thing or 2 or 3 or 4... Anyway, I'm certain that you are all aware but my quirk is called Black Hole. No matter what material gets sucked in it eventually gets turned to dust." Backing away from Aizawa No.13 faced the students and explained with some melancholy in his voice about the dangers of his and everybody's quirks
"Yes, and it's a quirk perfect for disaster relief and saving people injured by disasters." Izuku immediately answered while Ochako swung her head up and down like Izuku did when he was smaller but to Mike, it doesn't make sense how such a destructive quirk can save injured people although he can see it's used in disaster relief
"Indeed it is but it is also a dangerous power that can easily kill people just like the quirk of everyone here. Naturally, in this society, the usage of quirks is heavily regulated but you have to remember that with just one wrong move you could kill somebody. With Aizawa, you learned the potential of your power, with All Might you learned the true sense of danger your power represents. Well with me you are going to learn how to save people with your power!" Opening his arms up No.13 introduces what Mike and the rest will be doing with him but Mike knew what was actually going to happen
"That is all! You have my gratitude for listening patiently and intently!" No.13 bowed in a gentleman like a manner while the students cheered him on and gave him a hearty applause
"All right first thing's first-" Aizawa started talking until he noticed a black portal that started appearing in the middle of USJ and from it came to a multitude of people all with grizzly looks
"Huddle together and don't move! No.13 protect the students!" Putting his visor on all the usual sloppiness disappears from Aizawa's face instead he became deadly serious
"What is that? Is this another UA training technique." Eijirou asked with a curious expression while looking towards the villains
"Stand back those are villains!" Aizawa immediately informed him and the rest of the students about the dangers that they will soon face
"Eraserhead and No.13 are here but according to the teacher's curriculum we stole All Might should be here as well and yet I can't see him." A man in a suit that looks more like a black blob of shadows commented
"We went thru all this trouble jet he is not here? I wonder if he will appear if I kill all the students?" The other man is sloppily dressed but he has 14 arms stuck everywhere on his body while he constantly scratches his neck
This is the first time Mike and the rest of class 1-A will fight truly dangerous villains
