Chapter 2: The Isolated Palace Within Tanay's Twin Mountains (2)
Tadeo remembers that day this woman arrived. He never felt her presence which is unlikely, because as a human turned god, he would sense an existence even from a thousand mile radius, so he was extremely startled seeing this creature in his doorstep.
His first reaction is rage, no one should be here. No one should come near. However, upon seeing the wounded lady with her face down, he somewhat softened, deep inside, despite the ruthless and cruel armor he is clad, he is still that heavenly creature with the softest heart. He nearly lost himself in his dazed kindness once again.
Yet... He remembered how he was treated as trash and enslaved even worst than a dog by mere humans. So he just turned around, raised his hand, planning to make this woman perish in a flick of a finger like he usually does.
But... Tadeo paused. He heard a sound from the creature. It's sobbing, as if she is in her most painful sorrow. It's not the cry which caught his attention though, but the sound of her voice. It's hugely similar to her voice... that voice he longed to hear for a thousand years.
So he turned the body, not touching it but merely moving his fingers on air. Then he saw it, the face which once lifted his spirits, gave warmth to his heart, brought elation to his mere consciousness.
