Chapter 9: Don't give up
"Meghan, I'm home…" Vic announced cheerfully before his face changed. Why all dark? It's still early, just 7.30 p.m. He threw the keys to the table before walking to her room, expecting to see her sleeping soundly. He switched on the light, only to gasp to see the drawers all open and her closet already empty. What happen?
He quickly dialed her number but she switched it off. He scratched his head in confused and worry. What exactly happens now? If she has some photo shooting, she will tell him first but does she needs to take all her belonging too?
He quickly looked down in the telephone book, where both of them jotted down all the numbers of their friends. He dialed one of her friends.
"Hello," a woman answered.
"Hello. Is this Miss Amethyst He" he asked.
"Yes. Who is this? Where do you get my phone number?" Amethyst asked, feeling weird as a stranger called her.
"It's not important. May I know whether Meghan has any photo shooting outside Taiwan," he asked, hoping a positive answer.
"I don't think so. Why?" she asked, feeling excited as this guy seems to connect with Meghan.
"Nothing. Err… if you meet her, ask her to call me. She knows who to call. Thanks again." He dialed another number, another model he knew Meghan's close too.
"Hello," Jolin answered, rubbing her wet long hair.
"Hello. Is this Miss Jolin Tse?" he asked.
"Yes. Whom am I speaking too and where do you get my number?" she asked, feeling weird.
"I just want to ask one thing. Does Meghan have any photo shooting outside Taiwan?" he asked the same question he asked Amethyst.
"I don't think so. Why?" she answered. Vic sighed.
"If you see her, could you ask her to call me? She knows who to call. Thanks again. Bye." He groaned, feeling so weird. Where is she?
"Don't give up," he coaxed himself. He took another deep breath before dialing another number.
