~Flashback~
(Eighteen years ago, Vic was eight years old while Meghan was seven years old.)
Vic was walking to the canteen when he heard something. At first, he wanted to ignore it but one little girl ran to him, hiding behind him, shaking.
"Help me," she pleaded. He looked at the front as three big boys staring at them.
"Give that girl to us," one of them demanded. He turned at the girl but she looked at him with her big wet eyes. He smiled.
"Leave her alone," he spoke softly. The boys frowned before laughing.
"You are so skinny, don't think you can beat us three," one of them gave him a warning. Vic smiled.
"Try me," he replied. They gripped their fist before beginning to hit him. Meghan watched them in frightened. She knew she should run away but… she just knew that this boy will save him.
Vic looked at her, wiping the blood from his cut lip, smiling. She quickly took out her hanky, giving to him.
"You… you want to see a doctor?" she asked slowly. He sighed to hear the bell rang.
"Have you eaten yet?" he asked. She shook her head. He sighed again, feeling his own stomach growling in starving.
"Are you hungry too?" she asked. He nodded slowly. Suddenly she took his hand, bringing him to the canteen.
"What do you want to eat? My treat," she said cheerfully. He sighed.
"I don't mind. Whatever in your mind also okay," he replied. She snapped her fingers before running to the aunty, ordering lots of food.
His jaw dropped down seeing all the food. Her face changed, thinking that he doesn't like what she ordered.
"You want other food? Okay…" She wanted to go make another order but he quickly stopped her.
"No… no… but can we finish these all?" he asked. She grinned.

Next month…
Vic was studying when someone stepped into the class. Nobody else there as it was still break time.
"What are you reading?" she asked, looking at the front page. Then she stuck her tongue out, shaking her head. He chuckled, closing the book and looked at her.
"What do you want, Meghan? I need to study now." She grinned, pulling him out.
"Let's go have a break. I'm hungry," she moaned. He chuckled, patting her head gently.
"Go eat with your friends. I need to do my revision now," he said, breaking free from her. She pulled a long face.
"I heard that they are selling new candy today…" He immediately pulled her out, rushing to the canteen. She giggled.
