Chapter 1: CHAPTER-1(THE BEGINING)
Hi, my name is Aron, and this is the story of how me and my friends survived an apocalypse. It all started on the first day of school after our summer break.

I as usual was walking to school all by myself. I reached the school and was walking towards the stairs when someone called me from behind,
"Hey! Aron, wait for me.",
I stopped and turned back, It was Jack, he was running towards me,
"Hey Jack, long time no see, how are you?"
"I am good, what about you?", Jack replied.
"I am good too." I replied.
We walked up the stairs together towards our class. Along the way to our class I peeked inside another classroom, she was sitting right there on the first bench of the last row talking to her friends, beautiful as always, Rem, the girl I've liked for as long as I can remember.
"So? are you gonna talk?"
the sudden voice startled me, It was Jack.
"Are you crazy? No, I can't talk to her, she is one of the most popular girls in the school, and I...I am...."
"You are a nerd invisible to almost everyone", Jack completed my statement.
I knew he was right, I've always been like this, all quiet and buried in my comics and video games.
I even met Jack in a game, we became friends as soon as we knew that we were in the same school, and in same class. We both were the same, no friends other than each other, always buried in comics and anime. Basically ya, we were what other kids at school called nerds.
"Jeez Jack, I know, you don't have to rub it in my face all the time", I finally replied.
"Come on dude, how hard could it be? And didn't you tell me you two knew each other." Jack said while we started walking to our class again.
"Well ya, we knew each other, we were friends in elementary school, but things have changed a lot in the past few years, we haven't talked to each other in like forever, ever since we got into high school she started gaining attention and I on the other hand was left behind, I don't know if she even remembers me now." While I said that, we finally reached our class.
We sat on our seats and every one was talking about how they spent there summer vacations. I was sitting all by myself, staring out of the window. That's when I saw something unusual, some people were coming towards our school gate, by the looks of it, it seems like there were around 5-6 of them.
"Hey, hey Jack, look here, out at the gate, a bunch of people are coming this way", I called upon Jack.
"Well ya, what could they possibly want?", Jack said while looking out of the window.
as soon as the group reached our gates they, started grabbing the gate and trying to get in, the gate was shut of course but there was something unusual about the group, they didn't seem to call anyone or try to open it, they just stuck there faces to the gate and push on it.
moments later a security guard came up to the gate with our headmistress, they tried to talk to the mob but something happened and the guard fell on the ground as soon as he went close to the gate, the headmistress ran back to the building and a warning to stay in our rooms was issued.
after the announcement I saw the guard who was laying on the floor get up, he was acting strangely, and started walking towards the school building. As he came closer I got a good look at him, he was bleeding from his nose and eyes, as soon as I saw that, I got scared.
I stood up and wanted to warn everybody."Every one....", as soon as I said that much the announcement speakers got turned on," All staff, report to the meeting room, students are requested to keep cal.... Hey what are you doing, you're not supposed to be here, hey get out, don't get any closer, what are you doing, get off of me.....AAAAAAAHHHHHH....AAAAAAAA".
as soon as the announcement ended the kids started to freak out, everyone started to run outside.
"Jack! Lets go", I said, as I made my way through the panicked kids towards Jack.
I finally made my way to him and we started running out with the others.
while we were running, we reached Rem's class.
"Jack, we need to get her", I said.
"Are you nuts? we can't get in there, let's go, she probably went already", Jack said, while trying to stay still between all that pushing.
"I have to check", I said as I went towards her class. Jack was carried ahead by the kids.
I reached her room, I couldn't see her anywhere. I was trying to look when another group of kids came gushing and ran into me, I was taken towards the stairs that led to the terrace, I couldn't breath, so I grabbed the railing and pulled myself out, I stood there on the stairs that led to the terrace. I catch my breath and head up, as that's the only clean way I can see.
As I reach the terrace, the door is already open, I go through the door and see some kids wandering around chasing something, they all were acting weird, I approached one of the kids.
"Dude, what's going on here?" I ask while putting my hand on his shoulder.
the kid turns around, blood flowing from his eyes and nose, I freaked out and started taking steps back.
I tripped on something and fell down, the kid was following me, I panicked, as I was trying to calm him, he launched himself at me, i blocked him by my legs and pushed him behind.
He stood up again and came at me again, my hand reached what I suppose is the thing I tripped on. It was a metal pipe. I grabbed it and smashed it in the guy's face, his head came of and went flying towards the side, he died instantly.
I got scared as the Thought that I killed someone filled my head. I couldn't move as some other kids with the same symptoms came towards me. I was frozen, I couldn't move.
This is the end, I thought to myself as I accepted my demise and kept there with my eyes closed.
I heard someone yelling, as I opened my eyes, there was a kid smashing the others with a hockey stick. He killed almost everyone of them, then he came to me and offered me help to stand up, he wasn't bleeding. I took his hand and stood up.
"Thanks man", I said, I finally understood what was going on.
"don't stop to take a break, we're not done yet, grab anything you can find and start smashing them", He said as he charged in bashing every kid in his way.
I picked up the pipe again and did the same.
As I was making my way through all these kids, I realised I knew this kid, He is Josh, a popular kid of our school, But the most important thing was that he and Rem hanged out together.
As soon as I realised that, I heard a scream, I looked for the source, and there she was, Rem, standing there scared.
I ran to her killing all that came in my way.
"Are you all right?", I asked her as I reached her.
"Ya, I am fine, thank you for saving me", she said in a slow, scared voice.
"WATCH OUT!", I heard Josh screaming.
As I turned back, a kid jumped on me, it was so close that I couldn't dodge him, as he was about to reach me Josh jumped between us, he struggled a bit but then I killed the thing and saved Josh.
"That was the last of them", Josh said, as he looked at his arm, which was bleeding.
"Hey! your arm, its bleeding, did he get you?", I asked Josh, I by now had figured out what we were dealing with, it was an apocalypse, an undead apocalypse.
"Ya the last one got me." Josh said, blood dripping from his arm.
"You know what happens right?", I asked Josh in a tensed voice.
"Ya, I just saw what happens to those who get bitten", Josh replied.
"I don't understand, what happens, someone tell me whats going on", Rem asked, she was scared.
"I will turn into these things", josh said, while pointing at the dead thing on the ground.
"What? No,No,No this can't be, can't we stop it from happening? Aron, do something, save him.", Rem started panicking. She remembered my name.
"He can't do anything, no one can", Josh replied.
"Hey, Aron I need a favour", Josh said.
"Ya, what is it", I said, still not over the fact that he will turn.
"Take care of Rem for me", he said, sitting down with support on wall.
"come on, it's gonna be all right, we will figure something out", I tried to reason.
"NO, we can't do anything, take care of her, and kill me, before I turn", Josh said loudly.
"Are you crazy, I can't kill you, there might be another way, there has to be", I said, I was panicking, I can't kill a living person.
"You have to, I don't want to be one of them", Josh said.
As he said that he passed out.
"NO, Josh", Rem started to cry.
I knew what I had to do, I picked up the pipe.
"Don't do it, he is still alive, we can save him", Rem stopped me.
"Rem, listen, we can't do anything except giving him his last wish", I said, in a serious tone.
she backed off, still crying. I help the pipe tightly and closed my eyes.
"Close your eyes Rem, you don't have to see it", she put her hands on her eyes, still crying.
"Sorry Josh", I said this and swung the pipe bashing his head off.
As I did that, I felt weak, I couldn't stand, I held to myself.
"Are you all right?", I asked Rem, she was still crying.
"Give me a moment", She said still weeping.
I went on towards the front, the gates were down, and a lot of undead were coming in. I ran back to Rem.
"We need to move, the gates are down", I said, I grabbed her arm and the pipe. we started going down. As we moved we had to go through the undead kids, there weren't many but we still were cautious.
We reached the hardware lab.
"We should check inside, maybe we can find something useful.", I said, Rem was feeling a bit better by now.
As we wen't in, I saw Jack.
"Jack!", I yelled.
He turned up and came to me.
"I am glad you're safe", he said.
"Ya, me too." I said.
"Hey! Jack, we don't have time for reunions, get to work", a voice came from behind Jack.
We looked back, there was a girl standing there, I knew her, her name is jean, she was in our class, a smart girl, with temper issues.
"Ya on it,its almost done", Jack said as he ran back to the desk.
I wen't to Jack, while Rem went to Jean.
"So what are you doing here?, I asked Jack.
"I am modifying a nail gun, I am using wood and other things to make a grip and all that stuff", he said.
"I didn't know you could do that." I said surprised.
"Well ya I took a military camp in my vacations,"he said.
"wow, that's cool, do you think you can make something for me too?", I asked him.
"I think a melee weapon will do for you, you don't have any shooting experience", as he said that he picked up a baseball bat and punched nails on its tip.
"Here, that should do it", he said, giving me the bat.
"Thanks, that'll do", I said as I picked up the pipe and walked towards Rem.
"Here, take this to protect yourself", I handed her the pipe.
"All right, all set to go", Jack said as he picked up his nail gun that now looked like an actual gun.
We were all ready to go, now all we needed was a plan, to follow.
As we stud there thinking of a plan someone came running in through the door.
We got alerted and were about to attack when we saw he was alive.
I knew him, his name is Tim, from the same year as us, but different class.
We all talked to him and found out that all the staff had turned and almost all the students were turned too.
We sat there and planned our escape.
"Okay, so here's the plan", I said after we all had discussed it.
"We make our way through the school and get to the parking, there we take one of the busses and go out, after we break out, we check the status of the city and go to each of our houses to see if we can find anyone's parents", I recited the whole plan.
"YA!", everyone said.
"Lets go then",I said as we moved out of the room and made our way through the undead walkers.
We all had some sort of weapon to protect ourselves.
I had the baseball bat, Jack had his nail gun, Rem had the metal pipe, we found the sports locker and got Jean a hockey stick and Tim got a wooden katana.
We reached the bus without any problem, as per the plan, we all got into a bus, Tim had to drive cause no one else knew how to drive.
We settled down and started moving, Tim crushed all that came in his way and we were out of the school.
As per the plan we were supposed to look for the houses of everyone on board.
We decided to go to Jean's house first, as it was the closest to school.
We were finally off, into a new world, which we knew nothing about and we had to survive in it.
