The lights continued swirling around as some of the colors began departing. First it was gold. Then crimson and diamond left. Finally, silver left leaving only bronze and platinum. Zeke was hopeful for the platinum draw, not only because it was by far the better of the two, but because platinum had yielded great rewards in his first draw.
Unfortunately, it didn't take long for the bronze to condense at the center and the platinum depart.
[Common 10% health recovery potion, obtained]
It may have been the least rare item he could've gotten, but he didn't mind. No one could deny how beneficial a health potion could be.
Following that, the lights proceeded to fly across his vision, condense and reveal his draws.

As the last draw faded from his vision and presumably entered his inventory, Zeke laid there, unmoving, in quiet contemplation. This gacha had far fewer 'rare' items than his first draw. He also felt that, compared to the first draw, far fewer of them would be of use immediately, if at all. But, he had expected this to some degree and, though there was a tinge of disappointment, he was overall at peace with it.
Many of the items didn't need an explanation for their use, namely the potions, songs, calligraphy, and manga. That said, Zeke was curious as to why there was a difference in rarities between the songs. And, all of the other draws he was familiar with to some extent, he wondered how they would function in this world.
(System, display the item descriptions.)
[Acknowledged.]
A familiar description screen appeared displaying information about the least rare items first.
(A/N: Will only describe the more important items from here on out.)
==========
Sustained Gravity-Control Type Magic CAD (uncommon)
Developed Shiba Tatsuya under his 'Silver' pseudonym, this device will enable flight as energy as channeled into it. Speed of flight dependent on rate of energy input. Heavy energy consumption based on load.
----------
Rin Tohsaka's pendant (rare)
An heirloom of the Tohsaka family, this red antique pendant can be used to store energy. With greater capabilities than other jewels used for Jewel Magecraft, this pendant can hold a vast amount of energy to be utilized at the possessor's need.
----------
Flash Step manual *sealed* (super rare)
A technique used in many works of entertainment, flash step is a movement technique which allows the user to move at extreme speeds over a relatively short distance. As the technique is trained to a higher degree, it functionally becomes a form of teleportation against those weaker than the user. Average energy consumption but can put great strain on the body.
Sealed: Prerequisite physical condition, skills, abilities and knowledge must be obtained in order to learn this skill.
----------
Contract with the Spirit King of Wind (special super rare)
In the world of Kaze no Stigma, becoming a 'contractor' would not only sharply raise one's affinity towards a designated element, but would allow access to the Spirit King's power during times of need. However, there is no Spirit King of Wind in the DxD universe upon which to draw additional powers. Instead, this ability simply sharply raises affinity and control over wind energy of all types.
----------
Staff of Gandalf the White (special super rare)
Under the directions of the gods, Gandalf used this staff in some of the final battles against the forces of evil. Though Gandalf was power, this staff acted as a catalyst and enhancement to his magic. Classified as a divine item and emits holy energy. Will enhance a one magic attack performed by the user by 500% and add a holy element to the attack. Has a cooldown time of 3 months.
Uses remaining: 5

Zeke had the system close the description screen and then proceeded to stare into the dark room. He was excited. Sure, a flight device was practically irrelevant given his devil wings and yes, he probably wouldn't be able to use the staff since it emitted holy energy, but the other draws were downright useful! The pendant could be a great backup in case his energy reserves needed replenishing in battle, or the stored energy could be used all at once for some devastating magic. Zeke knew that Rin Tohsaka had once used it to repair Shirou's demolished heart, so he figured that its energy capacity must be decent at the very least.
A greater affinity with wind energy was an even greater boon. In his opinion, wind was perhaps the best of the 'elements'. Depending on one's control over it, wind was good for both attack and defense. Moreover, it could increase movement and flight speed. Overall, it was an extremely versatile element.
Beyond that, when he had watched Rias in DxD in the past, he had always questioned the greatness of destruction magic. There was no denying that it was powerful, but it seemed slow given how long Rias always needed to prepare her attack. At least in his opinion, she was always using her peerage to stall for time as she charged her magic. Undoubtedly, that was a glaring flaw for destruction magic. Zeke had always preferred speed and skill-based characters over those who simply plowed their way through enemies with raw power.
Obviously, he would train up his destruction abilities as there was no doubting its strength, but he was sorely tempted to prioritize wind magic. However, he couldn't help but wonder how his family would react if they saw him training an 'inferior' element rather than destruction magic. The thought of it caused Zeke to smile just a little, especially when he thought of what the Bael clan head would think.
In the end, what he would end up training was still up in the air. There were still plenty of gacha draws in the future that might change things and he was also lacking in knowledge concerning magic to make a qualified decision.
Finally, there was flash step. He was familiar with the concept as it was used in anime and many novels and he knew it would be hugely useful. Just imagining himself 'teleporting' behind his enemies was an exhilarating thought. Plus, so long as he could exercise the skill repeatedly, it would be difficult for an opponent's attack to hit him unless he was caught totally unawares. However, Zeke was concerned about the prerequisites to it.
(System, what do I need to learn to unlock the flash step skill?)
[I am not permitted to tell you as it would impact your future decisions. However, using basic reasoning, the system is sure you will arrive at some of the answers you seek.]
*Sigh* (That figures.)
(Well, if that's the case, then I suppose my physical capabilities are a core requirement. The skill did say that it took a heavy toll on the body, after all. Beyond that…an understanding of three-dimensional space and maybe space laws in general? Could there also be a more basic movement skill I need to learn? Hmmm…)
Zeke proceeded to think through possible requirements and the system didn't interrupt him. As he made a mental list of everything he should try to develop or learn, Zeke wished that the system had some sort of note feature to help him keep track of his ideas. Hopefully he could obtain such an upgrade from the gacha in the future.
(System, how will I know when the prerequisites have been met? Will I need to check on a daily basis, or will you tell me, or….?)
[Checking the item description daily is one option. Another option is to simply integrate the manual with your body now. The skill's knowledge and abilities would be buried within your body until the conditions are met. Once you've gained said knowledge, you'd simultaneously know that the prerequisites were met.]
(Sound great. Once I have a moment alone, I'll do just that.)
All the while Zeke was using the gacha and then pondering about his new items, a pain had been growing stronger and stronger in his stomach. His newborn body was hungry. However, the pain associated with the hunger went beyond Zeke's expectations. He wondered if it might be due to his body having no pain tolerance yet.
Finally, he couldn't stop himself from letting out an earsplitting cry. "Waaaah!"
The nearby woman was jolted from her sleep and she rose from the couch to walk towards his position. Zeke's earlier suspicion that the woman was his mother was confirmed when he heard her voice. "Is little Zeke hungry?" she asked in an exaggerated and happy tone. Bending over, she picked him up and cradled him in her arms as she walked back and sat in the chair. Sitting, she adjusted her clothes then released the left cup of her maternity bra.
In the dark room, Zeke had a very concerned face as his head was brought closer to the large, perfectly-shaped breast. He had completely forgotten about breastfeeding!
