Chapter 27: Prince of Danteluri Dynasty
"Everyone below the age of 20 is given the chance to apply for the army. Candidates selection will depend on strength and intelligence. All the candidates below age of 20 should make a group." told grandmaster Agrim.
Atleast 30-40 peoples made a group. Shiva was also within them. It was the easiest way to enter the capital. He would try to contact royal family to get any information about the mysterious group that attacked sun Dynasty. Even though he had the power to defeat the moon Dynasty, he knew that the real opponent lies hidden in the shadows. And there was no point in disturbing the stability of the sun Dynasty again, he would go there in the future and resolve the issue of moon Dynasty but he was not planning to become the Emperor and stay there. His thirst for knowledge and to know about his origin was constantly disturbing him. He knew if he didn't even try to search for it then he would regret his dicision later and he wanted to live the life without any regrets. If he asked Danteluri Dynasty army they won't believe him either. Grandmaster Agrim examined the group most were approx 18-20 year old and only 5 looked less than 15 year old. He calculated that he could select atleast 3 candidates from here.
They didn't have that much free time to conduct a large exam here so screening was very crude , candidates would show their battle skills like archery, or blade arts etc if they were good enough then they would have to spar with soldiers and if they could impress the grandmaster they would be selected. Other part was the test of intelligence it was a straightforward test, candidates would be given different scenarios in the battle if they could provide best answer they would be selected but it was very difficult as they had to provide answer to all 10 question as the person needed in these field were very less.
10 dummies were placed in the open area, everyone started showing their skills. Shiva borrowed a bow from the villagers as he aimed towards the dummy that was placed 40-50m away for archery skill test. There were 2 sets, one was 20-30m away other was 40-50m away. First one showed precision and other one arm strength. If you could even touch the dummy at 40-50m away you would pass.
Shiva adjusted the arrow and focused, soon a arrow shot from the bow, it flew so fast that soldier's eyes could not even see it's trajectory. It pierced between the two eyebrows and was stuck halfway in the dummy's head.
Everyone exclaimed !
Dummies were made of tough material and if shiva used good quality bow or arrow then arrow would surely pass through the dummy's head.
"Interesting, Lord what is your opinion about that boy", even blue robe man was mesmerized by archery skill as he asked the charioteer.
Charioteer looked at the the shiva as he recited some mantra and shorty afterward his expression changed to one of disbelief. "His future and fate is unpredictable even I can't divine about this boy", charioteer told the blue robed man as there was also fear in his eyes, when he tried to divine the boys's fate he sensed a terrifying will warning him and that will was so overwhelming that he felt if he tried again he was certain that he would die.
Even blue robed man lost his calm when he heard this as he was very clear about the might of the yellow robed man.
Man in bamboo hat and blue robe was the only prince of Danteluri Dynasty, Pranay ,he was only 25 year old but already a grandmaster. No one had ever seen him fighting but his name was like thunder that reached every corner of the Danteluri Dynasty and even high tier Dynasties were wary of him. He was the one who initiated the "no begging" rule. He provided funds and because of his intellect the Dynasty prospered reaching the new heights.
When he was born a new gold mine was found, he was bestowed great luck by heaven. Whenever he went out of the palace he would come with a great news either a new diamond mine, a new gold mine or bussiness and political deals. He was a hero, a role model for the peoples of Danteluri Dynasty.
He was the golden goose of Danteluri Dynasty.
