Chapter 12: Plot Armor Can't Easily Be Bent By Mortal
"I want to offer you a chance. I need capable navigator and you have all requirements. Interested?" Jaffar said with smile.
Nami became more restless. He knew about her deed. As long as her head not filled with bricks, Nami knew that Jaffar actually not offered her a chance but forced her to join. As for refusal? The man in front of her would use her previous deed as thief to coerce her. Even if she had very righteous reason for her thievery, it was still stole someone possession.
Nami smiled weakly and nodded. "What choice I have?"
"Hm? I don't know what you think. But thanks for accepting my offer." Jaffar said teasingly.
Then he turned his head and looked at Hina. "Record her identity and send the record to Sengoku."
Hina nodded and immediately executed the task. Jaffar satisfied with his wife wanna be performance.
"Your uniform will be available tomorrow. You can tell Nojiko and other about your new job. You also can give your treasury to your village or bring it here. I won't confiscate your belongings, don't worry. Even it was acquired from shady way." Jaffar smirked.

Nami let out bitter sigh while walking to her house. It was in inheritance from her mom, the former Marine. Her mother let off her job as marine just for took care of her and her sister. This home and the orchard brought her in nostalgia.
Nami opened the door. Nojiko sat on the chair. She likely waiting for her.
"Sis, I'm home." Nami greeted her sister.
Nojiko turned her head and showed surprise expression. "Finally you back, Nami. But what with 'Sis'?"
Nami smiled weakly. "Nojiko, you have heard about Arlong's fall, right?"
"Hm, I have heard about that. The new marine officer took down Arlong and his crew this morning. The captain even compensate our lose due pirate invasion and marine negligent. He is decent marine." Nojiko rambled.
Nami nodded. "He recruited me not long ago. I can't refuse it as he mentioned my previous deed."
Nojiko turned silent and thought something. But in the end, she just shook her head. "If you have already accepted it, so be it."
Nami nodded and entered her room. She was too tired with drama she perform. When the burden inside her head suddenly vanished with unexpected way, she already too tired and immediately fell asleep. Joining marine or pirate, or bandit was small matter for her as long as her village was safe.
Next morning, Nami report to marine office to take her uniform and started her duty. Jaffar smiled warmly at her, the smile was so warm that very different from yesterday he smiled at her.
"Welcome to my team, Nami! This blonde hair girl is my wife wanna be. After we become adult, we will get married." Jaffar proudly said his achievement to his newly crew member.
Hina covered her face out of embarrassment. But she also smiled. She felt satisfied from Jaffar declaration as he proved to her that she would be number one.

Jaffar currently was occupied by paperwork. He needed to wipe stain that Nezumi left for him. But Jaffar wholeheartly did his job. He knew very well about the consequences of working half-heartly. As mentioned earlier, his previous job was SAR members. Human life on stake every he got a task.
His life currently was fine enough. He enjoyed his youth with Hina. He trained like madman for protecting his beloved. Then date with Hina every night. This life style continued until three months later.
A Caravel docked on Cocoyashi Village. It has black flag. The villager who saw it immediately ran and told nearby marine about it. The officer nodded and ran to marine office.
When Jaffar heard about it, he immediately walked to the port. Hina, Nami and some crews also followed him.
Jaffar could see the flag logo from afar, and because of that he surprised. Maybe the pirate also noticed him and his crew, the ship crew hurriedly pull the anchor and wanted to immediately left.
"Sigh... Even I have snatched Nami from him, Plot Armor can't easily bent by mortal."
Seeing they wanted to flee, Jaffar immediately shouted. "Luffy! If you dare to run, I will call Garp to give you and your crew the love fist!!"
Hina and other marines stunned by Jaffar's loud shout. Not because the loud voice, but because he mentioned Marine Hero so casually. On other site, the ship stopped and anchor not pulled anymore. The next moment, a strange bird... no, strange human shot from the ship to Jaffar place.
When the men, or youth landed beside Jaffar.
"Jaffar, long time no see! xi xi xi..."
"Fuck off!" Jaffar touched his forehead and said. "Old Geezer Garp will surely angry."
"I want to be a pirate king and sail freely on the ocean! I don't want to join Marine!" Luffy shouted.

Jaffar immediately punched Luffy face. He wasn't angry at Luffy or because he wanted to jailing Luffy. It was because Luffy expression made him remember Garp, The unreasonable old geezer who always bullied him.
"Ouch! Why your punch ia felt like Grandpa?! It's sting!" Luffy complained loudly.
The new group, Luffy crew surprised by Luffy declaration. Luffy was Rubber Man, right? why he felt pain?
"Not only me and Garp, even Shanks and other powerhouses on Grand Line also can punch you miserably." Jaffar said while punched Luffy again, yet without Haki. Like in the Anime, Luffy head back to original state just in an instant.
The marine from headquarter obviously knew who Shanks was. They gulped as two youth in front of them had connection with big shots on Grand Line.
Jaffar continued. "By the way, Luffy. Is Old Geezer know about your decision? He really hope you become a great marine."
"No. I don't want to be a marine. I want freely sail on the ocean like wind and explore the world!" Luffy said with serious yet smiling expression.
