I never really understood why people were afraid of the Unknown
Because you don't know what it is? That's why you find out
People are afraid of the bottom of the ocean because they don't know what's hiding there at the bottom
That's why those brave few go down there in place of those afraid to know
Knowledge is power
Wisdom is Strength
and the ability to utilize both of those makes you unstoppable
Back on topic, however, the Unknown
I never used to fear what I didn't know. I was the type of person to walk into the dark room in place of the afraid little child
However, there was one moment when I lost all of that
One moment, where I understood everyone who didn't want to die
Where the Unknown was just as scary as a big grizzly bear, or a dire wolf
This is that story

...
"Uuurgh.."
I grabbed my wavy brown locks in frustration, trying to force the hangover away with pure willpower
The lukewarm breeze of the outside washed over me, making my unclothed body shiver
Noticing the lack of covers, I was hit with a wave of confusion
"Where the hell are my clothes?!" I shouted
My voice echoed all around me, sounding like a broken record
That made me examine my surroundings
I somehow ended up deep within a dark, large cave, a single hole in the ceiling providing a tiny source of light for me to see
"Where the fuck am I?!?"
I received no responses to my questions, making me curse alcohol for its memory wiping witchcraft
I got up on my two shaky and lanky legs, beginning to feel the walls in hope that I wasn't going further into the rocky surface
To my relief, I made it to a large source of light after a while (Not knowing long from short since I had no sense of time inside the hole)
The light immediately blinded my poor blue eyes, making me Squint to get used to the large ball of gas that was trying to blind me
A few moments later, I was looking out across a large desert, sand blowing out from nooks and crannies of rock formations
In the distance was a large billboard, and from what I could make out, looked like a Hawaiian greeting card
Squinting a little more, my eyes still not used to the bright light, I managed to make out what the sign said
'Welcome to Pandora!'
My face dropped, a frown adopting my usually grinning facade
"Is this some sort of prank?"
I never got my answer since the world went dark, my body going limp to the hard ground
The last thing I heard cemented my fear for the Unknown
"Last subject for Project Psi obtained. Heading back to H4 now"
Last chapter was just my initial ideas coming into writing this
This chapter is the actual Chapter 1 of the novel
Tell me if you like this more or not. I used a lot fancier vocab than I'm used to here, so idk how well it turned out
Of course, the man who knocked out our Protag was Hyperion. More will be explained later, before you give me a rant on how it's illogical for Hyperion to be so far out in the Pandora desert
