Chapter 1: An innocent Wish

This day seemed like any other day to the adolescent boy. He was tired of living the same monotonous everyday life. He had held out for 18 years, how long would this continue for.

Bored out of his mind he wished for something to make his life more interesting. He wished for something to take away his dull everyday life.

Little did he know that this thought was the catalyst for that something that he had wished for, but was it the thing he really had wished for?

Just as his thought went by everything before his eyes went pitch-black. Darkness engulfed his sight and he couldn't breath. He tried to escape the darkness but could only feel something sinister surrounding his body, firmly holding him down in his place. The boy tried and tried, but fighting against this sinister force was futile, his fate had already been sealed.

***

It was bright, the room was very bright. With his squinting eyes the boy slowly looked around trying to ascertain his surrounding. Several people in what seemed to be white lab coats were staring at him. The boy frowned and spoke:

"Wher-... a-... I?"

The boy found it surprisingly hard to speak. He had also noticed something pushing him down, he felt like he had been strapped down to a stretcher. He looked down on himself and noticed highly technological equipment holding down his whole body with his limbs in a pentagon shape. On his arms were some weird techy looking separated handcuffs firmly holding him down to whatever stretcher he was laying on. He tried to remove his hand from the handcuffs, but to no avail. Since there was nothing else for him to de he decided to ask the question again, but in a more audible manner.

"Where.. am.. . I?

The people in lab coats looked at each other and a very old looking man of the lab coat group said:

"Welcome."

The old man had a very smooth and friendly voice. He put on a big, but discernibly fake smile and continued:

"It is a shame, but we don't have much choice. Don't hold it against us. You were just unlucky"

The boy felt a cold shiver running through his whole body, something was wrong, very wrong he thought to himself. He felt that this man was dangerous, not only through his speech, his fake smile, but something about him felt off. In the next moment the lab coated people brought out a bunch of wands, some with expensive looking gemstones, others with beautiful looking carvings.

"What is this?" Though the boy to himself.

The gathering had started chanting, but due to the boy's immense confusion he didn't understand what they were actually saying, and in the next moment the whole room lit up and glowing circles with strange scriptures and patterns appeared out of thin air. One after another they appeared, until there were a total of six of them. Six glowing circles were floating in the air, each of them approximately the size of a football.

The boy was feeling sick, he felt like some unknown force was pushing him down barely being able to stay conscious.

One of the glowing circles started spinning furiously and quickly drilled downwards the boys right wrist. The glowing circle digged deep into his right wrist.

"AAAAAAAAAHHH!!!"

Tears poured down his cheeks while he screamed as loud as he could. Despite the pain he took a peek at his wrist. To his despair there was a big bloody hole left. Just a few seconds ago there had been a perfectly healthy wrist, but now there was only a big hole left. He could feel his adrenaline slowly wearing off, and felt the pain slowly taking over, but to his surprise something astonishing happened. The pain just went away. He looked down and noticed that the hole in his wrist had disappeared. Not a single trace left of the previously bloody mess of a wrist.

The boy was relieved, but heard another loud spinning noise and immediately realised that what just had happened hadn't been fiction, but reality.

"No. NO! PLEASE- NO!!!!"

His scream for help was ignored and another glowing circle was furiously drilling down the air moving towards his left wrist.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!"

Despite his desperate call for help the people in the lab coats didn't flinch, those who weren't chanting were writing down notes onto the paper.

The next glowing circle started spinning furiously and headed towards his right ankle and the next one towards his left ankle.

The boy was drenched in sweat and tears, unknowing when this endless barrage of excruciating pain would stop. The last two glowing circles suddenly increased in size. One of them was twice the size while the other was at least four times bigger than the previous glowing circles.

The smaller of the two glowing circles headed towards the stomach and the other towards the heart. This time the two glowing circles were heading towards the boy at the same time at full speed.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHKFFKS!!!!"

The boy had reached his limit and fainted. At last it was over.

***

A man in a white lab coat was running with a yellow folder. He had stopped before a door with a sign saying "Head researcher". After gathering his breath for a moment he the door with full force and saw a young man sitting down by a desk.

"Sir. This is way beyond expectation, with this- with this!-" The excitement had taken over, unable to express his thoughts in a straight fashion he stumbled on his words.

"Calm down. Speak slowly" Said the young man trying to calm down the other party.

"Y-yes Sir. The summoning has succeeded, but not only that, the specimen is excellent! It possesses intelligence on par with us and his affinity with magic and his manacapacity is superb. I think we might be able to do those tests."

"It seems like this has been a good day for us."

In the corner of his lips a small smirk could be seen. The young man couldn't hold his excitement in front of such outstanding news. He felt like all of his major problems had been solved with the news.
