Cain didn't immediately answer her, not because he didn't want to tell her but simply because he wanted to stay with her as a normal couple: not one that had to deal with the underworld. But, this fleeting dream went as fast as it came. With no choice left he finally started,
"It was quite ok. I told you that even though this group of people are quite hard to deal with, they are actually more inclined to my side than to the Lion's. However, as they are considered the neutral party they are supposed to give a trial with equal opportunities, which they did, though with an advantage on my side. By the way, I happen to need your help with the first part of the trial."
A bright glint found its way in Sia's eyes. She happily nodded her head in response, not caring much about what she was supposed to do. This guy had promised her to give some work to do but it was the first time that he actually fulfilled his promise.
What sleep? What fatigue? It was her time to shine, so she abruptly sat up taking Cain by surprise. With an energetic and cheery voice she asked,
"What do I do?"
Cain speechlessly looked the girl up and down. The emptiness in his arms left him with an extremely bad aftertaste. He had made so much effort just to be able to come and be with her and she simply left him for some stupid trial by a stupid man? What the heck? How dare she?
Filled with indignation he pulled her back into his embrace, tucking her tightly in his arms. His lips pulled into a threatening smile, he whispered near her ear, sending waves of tremors in her,
"Try to leave me one more time for insignificant things and you won't have the opportunity to even move away from me in the future."
Gulping down the feeling of immediate danger, she decided to play the coy card and spoke meekly,
"What exactly do you mean?"
"Try me and you'll know," he smirked.
At the moment he looked like a predator eyeing his favourite prey after. The prey would be dumb to agitate it so it needed to think of other strategies to avoid the calamity of being eaten up.
'Is this supposed to be him being jealous of himself? Can someone tell me what I did wrong? Ughh, I really need to pacify the jealous monster.'
She quietly raised her hands and wrapped them around his neck. Giving him a few kisses here and there, she hardened her face and probed further.
"You actually don't want to spend time with me, do you? I was so excited to help you finish everything fast so that we can spend more time together, but not only did you get angry but also threatened me. My dearest darling, do tell me, what do I do with you?"
"When did you develop this kind of skills?" his voice was sharp unlike his previous dangerous whispers. She truly felt like crying. Why was her boyfriend's mind so imaginative? What was the guy thinking now?
"Naturally from the times I spend with you. Who else do I need my seductress trap for?"
Contented with her answer, he lightly nodded his head. Nonetheless, how could he miss the opportunity now and simply concede to her?
"You still have room for improvement, so let's practice together. Just follow my example."
Immediately putting his words into action, he started leaving a trail of increasingly wet kisses from her forehead to her neck. She had just taken a shower, so her hair was half damp and half wet, multiplying the allure she was exuding. He couldn't help but leave kisses on her platinum hair that now looked much darker than usual, contrasting her white skin. Her greyish eyes shone under the dim light of the desk lamp, just like the early stars in the darkening sky. His hands also soon found their way to her treasured body...
By the time Sia came back to her senses, she found herself pinned under the predator, without any escape route remaining. Was there no stopping to this guy's desires? Whoever dared to say he didn't care about women, or speculated that he was an asexual should come to consult her straight away. Thankfully he was now too invested in her body, leaving her mouth free for retaliation.
It was her time to strike back and het her revenge on the hungry man. So copying his low, yet dangerous tone she said,
"Mr. Dragon, you either withdraw now or get lost from my apartment right after you are done. Your pick."
Cain momentarily froze at her words: looking down at where his hand was resting he immediately understood that he had lost control. Even though he didn't want to stop, he knew better that it was not a wise thing to awaken the demoness in her. So, reluctantly, but still with dignity, he cleared his throat and laid back in his previous place wrapping her once again, to avoid facing her angry gaze.
"This is the way you do it, my Queen. It guarantees to blow your partner's mind," not waiting for her response he quickly continued, "So yeah, about the task. We have to find information about this mysterious group of underworld fugitives that go by the name 'Black Lily'. Their last appearance was three years ago sand there is nothing about them except for a photo picturing two members."
Ignoring the first part of his audacity, she pondered about the second bit of information he gave,
"You calling them fugitives means that they are in a run from the underground powers. However, if they disappeared three years ago with no traces left they can't be a simple group. They should have done something three years ago. Something big."
"Go on," his eyes were filled with pride as he looked how she could pinpoint the key points from just a few sentences.
"Umm, I feel like whatever they have done in the past should also be related to the group of the people you met today. Or else, why would they waste the chance of using the number one hacker on some random group. Is it possible they hold a piece of information that can threaten some powers?"
Though he decided to let her be, he couldn't help kissing her head gently. His Queenie was truly too smart.
"They had stolen information from the main base of the family I met today. Though they refuse to give anything out about this piece of information, it seems to be quite important as they have been utilising all their powers for the past few years to get on their track."
Sia quietly considered what he had just told her and after some thinking asked in a serious tone,
"You mentioned that the family this time was the strongest, and yet they failed to find any information on the fugitives except for a measly photo. This group should at least have an SSS rank hacker on their side to be able to conceal or get rid of all their traces. It seems that whatever information is in their hands is now threatening the people you met. Now they even got you guys involved in their business. They seem desperate about getting help. This Black Lily is truly not simple."
