The Intended Consequences of trump's Trade Policies:
- to pay huge fines for breaking International Monetary Fund rules and get out of the free trade community not to pay fines any more
- to get all american goods heavily taxed on the European markets
- to get all american industries become noncompetitive on the world scale
- to loose USA all friends and allies in Europe
- to make USA critically depend on China - in economy to start with, in politics hopefully.
The efforts to make enemies of the NATO partners are very important addition to these Trade Policies.

Leadership begins in the household
Leadership...
Some training in behaviorist style training to start with!
The point is. You aren't allowed to drive a car on the streets without learning, training and passing the tests. As it's rather complicated and dangerous (for all sides involved) activity.
But you are allowed to take responsibility for your children without any tests. And it's more complicated and dangerous than driving by far.
And the reasons are simple. In primitive society no one on top would attempt to fight the main instincts without strong personal reasons.
And in modern society the demography is weak as it is. Make your standards high - and you'll bring the demography really low...
Leadership depends upon freedom
Alpha do...male leads naturally. Evolution, your own nature makes you follow willingly and happily. One nice option - if you didn't evolve your brain yet.
Demagogue leads by unrealistic and dangerous promises. An option for these, who are born with some brains but don't apply 'em.
When the nation faces great disaster, most of the competent politicians may lead it. You don't have to lye, you don't have to tell bullshit to unite the nation, just tell the truth - and you'll lead the sane majority and most of minorities would follow. There is nothing nice about it, it's the simple necessity.
There isn't a lot of freedom involved. In the last case though you may exercise your freedom to abandon shi... freedom...
