Chapter 49: Return
A bit more then the full two years had passed since RIku had left to train with the Samurai in the Land of Iron. Many were wondering where he was as Naruto returned before he did surprising many of their friends as Naruto left before Riku did. Many believing that he just decided to stay a bit longer to complete some of his training. But all that they could do was wait for him to arrive back in the village.
Later that day a young man with long silver hair and green eyes wearing the armor of the samurai walked into the village. The guards initially not recognizing the person as he had matured a lot when away from the village but they remembered the silver hair that reminded them of Hayato sparking their memory of his son. Riku had returned to the village.
Riku started to head to his house when he encountered someone. A boy wearing orange and black outfit saw Riku and he was confused for a little while as how much RIku had changed but soon approached him. Riku seeing the young man approaching him recognized him as Naruto and saw that Naruto also went through a lot of changes in the past two years as well.
Naruto: Is that you Riku?
Riku: Yes did I really change that much even the guards who have to check your identity doubted me for a bit.
Naruto: Yeah you changed a lot. Aso why did you come back to the village so late it has passed your 2 years a while ago.
Riku: My training with Lord Mifune went a bit longer thenI thought as the final year he crunched down on the details more then before so it took a bit longer and I came back as quickly as possible.
Naruto: Well your back now why don;t we go and get some ramen for now and catch up.
RIku: I don't mind later but let me go home first I need to see my parents my mother is probably mad at me.
Naruto: Ok meet me at Ichiraku later I will tell our friends we are gonna eat there so we can all catch up.
Riku: Thanks.
Riku continued to walk to his home and got there in a few minutes as he walked in the front door as he sees his mother doing some laundry and his father repairing some damage in the house. Seeing him walk in they immediately knew that this was their son as they approached him Yukine immediately hugged her son that she didn't see in two years while his father was assessing how much stronger his son had become. Riku was relieved that his mother was happy to see him as he thought that she would be mad at him for being late that was until she stopped hugging him.
Yukine: Riku we agreed on two years not longer.
Riku: But it was only a little while longer then the original time.
Yukine: You couldn't at least send some kind of message that let me know of this. I was worried for so long that something might have happened to you
Riku: Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
Riku started to look to his father for help but his father gave him a look that said you messed up I can't really help you here. This caused Riku to spend the next few hours of that day dealing with his mother lecturing him. His father was there just nodding his head while hearing most of the lecture but he did retort somethings that were a bit too much of his mother being overprotective. But eventually he was able to get permission to go out that night with his friends. He went to shower then changed and headed out to meet with his friends.
He wore a casual long pants, samurai boots, and a short sleeve t shirt as he was heading to Ichiraku Ramen. When he got there he saw many people that he recognized but they looked so different then what he remembered from 2 years ago. When many of them saw him they started to walk towards him as they wanted to hear about what he did for the past two years. He saw Naruto, Sakura, Ino, Choji, Shikamaru, Kiba, Hinata, Shino, Rock Lee, Neji, and Tenten. But one person shot forwards before them and hugged Riku. This surprised Riku as he looked to see who hugged him and saw that it was Ino.
Ino: Thank god you are safe. I was starting to worry when you didn't come back in time.
Riku: Sorry I just got lectured for that I am sorry for worrying you guys.
Ino: It is alright you are back now and look at you. You look so much stronger now.
Shikamaru: Yeah you and Naruto both grew so much in the two years.
Choji: Tell me what kind of food did you eat in the Land of Iron.
Sakura: You have matured a lot in these two years, hopefully more than Naruto did.
