Xiao Jun walked back toward Qianru and his room with rigid expression, when he opened the door and closed it again behind him, suddenly a warm body welcomed him and hugged him tightly.

The woman buried her head on his chest as if she was trying to suffocate herself by doing so.

"Qianru…" Xiao Jun hugged his wife back and brought her back to their bed.

It was so late at night and Qianru still didn't sleep yet, she would be lethargic in the next afternoon if she didn't take the rest that she needed now.

"Why don't you sleep?" Xiao Jun pulled a blanket and tucked her in while he was lying beside her.

"How do you expect me to sleep when you are away and I don't even know if you are safe or not." Qianru said sullenly.
