Chapter 47: Vladimir leaves for the Monastery..
A new strong healed Zoya had reunited with her parents.
Once the immediate emotion of the reunion had passed. The lieutenant asked for a moment with Zoya.
He took her aside, they too hugged and then he told her of his immediate plans and that he would return as soon as it was permitted.
It was his duty to return the escort to the Monastery, and to report to HQ - particularly regarding the situation with banditry they had encountered.
Vladimir had decided to take up the lieutenant's offer of accompanying them - perhaps he would even join their ranks..
He had loved riding through the country, fighting the bandits and knew that training would go hand in hand with his Intelligence Officer Enhancement..
At first Recoil tried to convince him to stay with her, but compromise finally made when she found that the Ovcharka, Rurik preferred staying with her than going off to some cold Monastery.
He appeared worried about the accommodation available for a dog in a big walled off Monastery and was pacing back and forth with a troubled look on his face until Recoil asked him to stay and keep her company in the beautiful woody Akademgorodok area. Happy with the Ovcharka's promise of companionship - Recoil had even promised to teach him to read. An idea which Vladimir couldn't quite get his head around.
Finally when it was time - Recoil reached in to kiss Vladimir goodbye.
"Be safe.." he said before turning to join the ranks of the waiting Riders..
Meanwhile, the lieutenant had accompanied Zoya into the house.
Her family were eager to hear of the miraculous story of Zoya's recovery.
The lieutenant only smiled and said -
"There was a great cure, a miracle. The pink haired girl, Recoil is the key.."
Zoya has asked for her company here for a while he said.
While her partner Vladimir will be joining the riders for now..
"Zoya will tell you everything," he promised them, "and I will return as soon as possible."
Then he fare-welled them and left. Returning with the Riders.
