Chapter 5: 5
Because Frank had to be at the clinic and Flora had classes, the date was set for 6pm.
Frank went about his day normally. He checked out patients with the primary doctor, handled some cases, played with the children in their wards, and thought about his girlfriend a lot.
During his break, she texted him that she'd handle the date preparations and he gave his consent. Her being active about it meant she was taking their relationship seriously too and that made him happy.
Unlike Frank's smooth day, Flora spent the whole day coming up with date ideas. Even someone like her who knew how to separate school life from emotional life still got distracted sometimes.
"Movies, amusement parks, museums, art shows??? Girls give me ideas," she pleaded over a voice call with Seraphina and Claudia.
"You're the first one out of the 3 of us to date. You should be asking Granny Janet," Claudia laughed.
"If you want X-rated pieces of advice, got for it girl," Seraphina added.
At the end of the call, her friends gave her zero useful information. While she was in the middle of blaming herself for taking on the responsibility of handling the date, an idea popped into her head.

By 5p.m., Flora had found her way to his car. She had noticed it on their second meeting and multiple times after that. She stood by the side and played with her phone.
Not long after, she heard approaching footsteps. She turned around excitedly, but it was soon wiped away when she saw the person.
She was about to turn back when the sweet voice sounded.
"Hi there. Is this your car?"
Flora was a bit shocked but still replied by shaking her head.
The voice sounded again, "I thought as much."
Flora looked at her with confusion written all over her face. Detecting her confusion, the lady stepped forward, "I know the owner of the car, that's why I'm here."
"Since you know the owner, shouldn't you be inside the clinic then?" She blinked animatedly at the woman in front of her.
"I don't want to interrupt his work. Are you also waiting on someone?" The woman had a smile that wasn't really a smile on her face as she sized up Flora.
Flora beamed as she nodded, "yes, I'm waiting for my boyfriend."
Before the woman could ask again, footsteps were once again heard. Both ladies turned towards the sound to see Frank heading towards the car.
He was stunned for a while before rushing forward, "why are you here?"
The unknown lady thought the question was for her but was left disappointed when Frank walked past her and stopped in front of Flora.
"I wanted to pick you up for our date."
They smiled at each other foolishly, forgetting about the third party with a slacked jaw.
