Chapter 6: Shift
"Ahh, so good!" Alan exclaimed scooping another spoon from Vegetable Soup he just cooked. He closed his eyes enjoying the blissful taste of food.
It was undoubtedly the most delicious dish that he ever ate. His new skill |Adept Chef| gave him a wide variety of different recipes which were all top-notch.
Plus, the dexterity of his hands exceeded all his expectations. Alan became very precise and skillful in knife wielding. It seemed to him that this skill | Adept Chef | is more suitable for the Combat section.
After a wonderful dinner, he lay down on his new air mattress and fell asleep.

4 month. That's how much time has passed since Alan's first dinner in his Cargo Van. In general, these months were uneventful.
He sold all the jewelry he had. Then bought a phone and laptop, since he was bored just sitting in the car. And he has $ 97,000 left.
Alan also enrolled in kickboxing and gymnastics courses.
He dropped out the first one as he immediately realized that his battle skills were almost flawless. As for gymnastics, Alan is still attending it.
Although he never fought before, thanks to his skill |Master of Hand-to-Hand Combat| Alan perfectly understood how useful gymnastics was.
Thanks to it, he finally got used to the speed of his body. Well, not only courses were useful, but also something else.

Therefore, Alan spent one stat point on his Charm.

"Aahh" Alan stretched his arms, then turned on his laptop.
He browsed through different TV series, movie sites and finding nothing interesting, opened a tab with the news.
He clicked on the video with the title <Terrorist attacks>.
"The acts of terrorism were committed 39 hours ago ..." The news presenter began to talk about the crimes of an unknown group and about its leader 'Mandarin'.
Footage of dead people and the ruins were shown. Then the news was intercepted by the terrorists themselves and Mandarin began his speech.
"Some people call me a terrorist ... I consider myself a teacher. America ... ready for another lesson?"
Alan closed his eyes and tilted his head down. "Idiot!" He shouted.
Because of his fear, he decided not to participate in the events of this film, but only now did he realize how selfish he was.
Alan gritted his teeth, feeling terribly guilty. He quickly calmed down and got behind the wheel.
'Let's buy some fireworks ... and an axe'

•The next day•
Currently, Happy Hogan was near the Chinese Theater. He came here by following the man who had come to Stark Industries yesterday with Aldrich Killian.
He felt anxious because of that guy. Aldrich Killian did not seem trustworthy to him, and his 'harassment' and overall interactions with Pepper made Happy a little angry.
The bald man, Eric Savin, subordinate of Aldrich, sat down near a suspicious-looking guy. They had a brief conversation after which a suspicious-looking guy took the suitcase, smiled and got up.
Happy approached him and pushed him into his shoulder. The suitcase fell on the floor and everything inside was scattered.
"Oh I'm sorry buddy" Happy began to help collecting the scattered details of some apparatus and in the course took one.
When he looked up he saw that the head of the guy was glowing orange.
Happy quickly got up and started to walk away. But the bald man 'accidentally' pushed him.
"What are you doing buddy? Got by yourself-" Before he could finish speaking, explosions were heard and sparks flew from everywhere. People began to run away from the theater.
"Is it firework?!"
Taking advantage of the moment Happy hit the man in front of him in the face. But to his surprise, Eric's broken nose began to rapidly heal.
Eric smiled, then swung his arm. But before he could hit Happy his hand was caught by someone from behind.
He turned his head wondering who it was. Then he saw a tall person in a black cloak. The face of that person was covered with a black mask made of metal.
The hood covered his/her face and only two sapphire-like eyes were visible. But the most terrifying thing about this person was that he/she was holding an axe covered in a fresh blood.
Only then did Eric notice the body of a man, torn into small pieces, to whom he recently handed over a suitcase.
Gulp...
This was the last move that Eric made before his head was brutally cut off with one stroke.
Happy saw how a person in cloak began to cut Eric's head into small pieces. Unsurprisingly, he(Happy) was panic-stricken.
But fortunately, the person with the axe wasn't interested in him, so Happy quickly escaped from there.

Alan wiped the axe on the body of Eric Savin and left. He felt both contentment and sadness.
He never thought that he could kill a man, but circumstances forced him to take such measures. Alan had no rights to make mistakes, not anymore.
'It will be a long night...'
The next day, he immediately opened the news website expecting to see changes, but to his surprise:
"My name is Tony Stark and I am not afraid of you. I know you're a coward so I've decided that you just died pal-" Then Tony dictated his address.
Alan sighed with relief.
If Stark had not revealed his address then everything would have become more complicated. But now with the help of Iron Man it will be easier for Alan to defeat Killian.
