Chapter 24: Consoling the lady
Ditto cried constantly, well she wailed, for half an hour. Her face was full of snot and tears right now. She was oblivious of the surrounding and crying because of mixed emotions. Happiness of finding her Granu back, sadness because she was the reason why her Granu was like that at the first place. Everything she was holding back on, every emotion she hid from the world because she didn't wanted to look vulnerable or weak, was flowing out just like that.
Although she was not looking presentable right now, but to Adria, she still was the most beautiful creation of God. Her face, smeared with tears and snot, and she still was constantly sobbing. Adria was looking at her, and she was lost at what to do. She didn't knew how to console a crying lady.
Although she herself was a woman, but she was not brought up as a woman. Neither did she saw herself as a woman. During her childhood, her toys were guns and dart guns which they used to kill or target practice. All her childhood, no one ever treated her with emotions. They never lacked food, or other luxurious items, but their life was tough. Day or night, they just completed tasks given by their big boss, Adria's Dad, and they were all dangerous, for Adria and her men too. Her father never mercy on anyone, whoever failed, was sent to a dark castle, the place where they would receive punishment. Death castle was a place where they would keep their victims to interrogate them, because, more or less, they had powerful influence in public, they had their own politicians in government, so the government asked them to carry many underhand work to them, and they in return were protected by the government. Their many victims brought for interrogation were the one enemy of government. They never needed to interrogate anyone. They just killed.
For Adria and Akon too, their dad wasn't merciful. Akon was here four times, and Adria was here for twenty two. She actually wasn't afraid to come here now. Because she loved to torture herself. Although the missions weren't purposely failed to receive punishment, it was because she was not that experienced, she still gladly accepted whatever punishment was thrown at her.
And because her only parent, her father was not afraid of punishing her, she didn't knew family values too. Later when she was an adult, then she got to know that parents try to save their child no matter what and are too caring for their offspring, she got to know the coldness she received from her dad.
Although her father never treated them as his child, never showered love but rather treated them as a war machine which had to do what they were commanded to, Akon and Adria were cold towards their father too. They never thought of him as their father, rather as their boss, for whom they were ready to kill or get killed, like a loyal dog. Adria was rebellious, but she never defied orders, just completed hem in her own style.
Till now, Adria thought that it was useless to be guided by emotions. Because the parents who tried to make the world of their children full of unicorns never succeded.
