Chapter 3: The matchmaker!
Naka upo siya habang nag hihintay sa kanyang tiyahin, in her suite na karugtong lamang sa kanyang main office sa 15 floor.
In that suite, she could see the view of Pacific Ocean in a far distance, and the new mall which happened to be their rival's company but its constructions are still going on.
May dalawang opisina ang naka laan para sa kanya, ang isa ay kung saan siya nag o'opisina araw araw as a supervising director.
And the other one is in the 15 floor, where she could do everything as the President of their company. She act as a CEO in her grandfather's stead.
Her grandfather already retired pero paminsan minsan nag o opisina parin ito dependi sa kanyang mood.
While her Aunt Margareth or "Maggie" is the company's vice president.
Sophia was already running out of patient habang naghihintay sa tiyahin, she's a very impatient person, too impatient to be patient. !
Pero dahil kailangan nya ang tiyahin in this critical times, kailangan nyang mag tiis. She glanced at her watch, almost eigth times already.
Alam kasi ng tiyahin nya na binigyan sya ng ultimatum ng kanyang abuelo which is her aunt's father.
Dalawa lang silang mgkapatid puro babae, si tita Maggie nya saka her late mother the one who died in an accident kasama ng kanyang ama and her aunt's late husband.
Wala silang anak nong asawa nya which makes her the uniqa hija and the sole heiress.
So her aunt Maggie acted as a match maker and tonight is the first night she's going to meet whoever the unfortunate bastard is.
Nawala sya sa pag muni-muni when she suddenly heard her aunt voice.
Oh by the way! her aunt already married two times, which makes, in her part become even more complicated.
"Your aunt already married two times, ikaw kailan ka mag aasawa?"
"I don't need a man!"
Paulit ulit nalang nyang sinasabi sa kanyang abuelo at paulit ulit din syang tinatanong nito na parang sirang plaka.
"Lo'. ! di kaba napapagod?"
"Hindi. !"
Bulyaw nito sa kanya.
"Hindi ako mapapagod hangat di ka nag aasawa!"
She tapped her forehead.
"Kala mo naman may matino pang lalaki sa mundo!"
She muttered under her breath.
"Wag mo ako masagot sagot Sophia Elizabeth, may edad lang ako pero hindi ako bingi, mag aasawa ka sa ayaw at sa gusto mo!"
She suddenly shook her head to dismissed her grandfather's image in her brain.
To make the story short her Aunt late husband died together with her parents in a plane crashed.
It took quite a long time before her aunt recover the tragedy and for her, she was just a little girl by that time and she don't remember anything about it at all.
When her aunt, reached her age at forty something, she accidentally met someone who's 10 years younger than her, his name is Gawri.
The name she thought sounds like a monkey, Napatawa syang bigla!
She doesn't know why but talagang natatawa sya everytime na marinig ang pangalan ng asawa ng kanyang tita.
But in fairness, Gowri is very loyal to her aunt. Gaanu man kapangit pakinggan ang kanyang pangalan ganun naman ito ka gwapo, but definitely not her type.
"Gawri darling. .we have to make our best to find a suitable partner for our princess.!"
Biglang napataas ang kanyang kilay sa "Gawri darling" ng kanyang tiyahin. She found it a bit awkward and uncomfortable because of their age.
She can't help but rolled her eyes.
"Dalawang matandang ewan. ."
Anya sa sarili.
"Oh sophie, princess!"
Maggie said while hugging her. Shes still as
sophisticated as she is, before. Wala man lang nagbago sa itsura nito.
"Kanina ka pa ba?"
Muntik ng mamuti ang mga mata ko tita! She though to herself but she force a fake smile smile, instead.
"Its ok tita, I know your busy!"
"Sophie, sweety!"
Ani Gawri in his casual gesture.
Which is good, alam kasi nilang she hates a man and Gawri is not an exemption.
There is only one man whom she could trust, her grandfather. As for the reason why she hates a man to the core, she herself only knew about it.
"We should go, baka nag aantay na yong date ni sophie!"
"Ok fine!"
She said with out an emotion.
"Which car?"
The couple look in each other. They could not forget the times when they asked sophie to dropped them somewhere and it was like a journey to the center of the earth. .
It was terrible and scary! muntik ng lumipad ang kaluluwa nilang dalawa sa sobrang takot sa bilis nitong mag maneho na animoy nasa karera.
The couple bowed themselves never again na makikisakay sila kay Sophia, mas gugustohin na lamang nilang maglalakad kaysa sa magka heart attack ng wala sa uras.
"No we should go in separate car!"
Gawri told her in uncertain tune.
"Yes. .princess we will take our own car!"
"Then Im coming with you guys, in your car.!"
She said pressing the button of the lift, leaving the couple, stunned.
"What does she mean?"
Maggie asked her husband confusedly.
Gawri shrugged his shoulder.
"She said she's coming with us!"
"Huh!"
Thinking about it parang gustong himatayin ng tita Maggie niya.
"Bilisan mo, dali!" anya sabay hila sa kanyang asawa.
"bakit?" nalilitong tanong nito sa kanya.
"kaylangan mong mauna, parang awa mo na ikaw na magmaniho, huh?"
Napatango nalang ang kanya asawa at natatarantang pinindot ang button ng elevator.
Then
Here comes the dinner date. .
She had dressed for the evening in a prim black skirt and a high-necked white blouse so that whoever that jack ass will not get even the slightest idea that she's interested on him, whatsoever!
