That morning, Greg followed Jeff from his apartment building to the White corp. parking.

'No surprises here... this is where he works.' Assuming that Jeff will be in the office most of the day, Greg left and drove through the city for some time. He stopped for food in one restaurant and made sure to pay with cash. Then he went back to the Jeff's apartment building and parked in front watching the underground parking entrance for residents. Every time security gate of parking entrance opened; Greg would carefully watch. Observing. Memorizing faces of people who got in and out. All those are people who live in this building... it might be useful to be able to recognize them.
