Chapter 11: Father To Son

'And so Herald spent the rest of the day with his parents, ate with them and informed them about how his project and his love life's news.

Herald wished badly to tell them about all the supernatural phenomenons he lived lately, but for obvious reasons he cannot.'

'The next day, he proposed to his parents to go out on a picnic in the near green landscape.

The weather was warm and the flowers started to grow and look beautiful...'

They went there and prepared their place, then all helped making a very delicious plate.

Herald had a nice family time as they call it.'

'Nevertheless, the decision wasn't completely out of his mind, but it wasn't his main focuseither.

To make the right decision he knew he had to be in a very stable psychological state. Thinking about it all the time will stand in front of that.'

'The next day, Herald had no plans for but to spend it in his room and maybe drawing some sketches and comparing them with his old ones, figuring out how much he developped his level and skills when it comes to that.

He did so.

And found out that his level increased drastically in terms of technic and visuals, but one thing he noticed is that his previous sketches looked, more alive and had a sweet emotional touch on them..Not that the current ones have none of that though..'

'Herald remembered that he had never drawn none of his parents before, felt a bit disgusted about this fact and decided to do so..'

'He went to the hall room and asked them to sit next to each other for him to draw them in that position.

Lumyeer and Floweria sat side by side, helding hands while Floweria's head is resting on her husband's shoulder...'

*After Approximately one hour, the drawing was completed...*

'His parents were completely stunned and satisfied by it, and expressed their proud feelings...

Lumyeer then asks his son to accompany him for a walk before night comes down, to which Herald agrees on, with a bit of curiousity.'

*During their walk*

Lumyeer spoke, "..Your aura is different Herald, it seems like you're worried about an uncertain future.."

Herald, smiled and said, "Oh really? how could you tell?"

Lumyeer, "I have repeatdly told you that none other than me knows you best."

Herald, "I agree on that, well truth of the matter is...

*Herald for a moment thought about telling things as they are, but that will maybe have worse consequences..He does not want and should not get his family into any of this...*

Herald continues, "..Truth of the matter is, I was given an invitation to go abroad and present my final project there."

Lumyeer, says proudly while putting his hand on his son's back, "What?!

That is great news son, why wouldn't you be proud and happy about such thing?"

Herald, "Well i was at first, but this invitation has one condition...It is obligatory to stay there for 3months and if possible, work there my whole life.

I can go back here from time to time ofcourse but still..."

*Lumyeer, takes a moment before replying...*

"It is only a matter of what you want to do Herald, A man has to take his chances when given to him, but not any chances, chances that he's confident he can capitalize on.. I cannot tell you which path you'll have to take as you are now a fully grown man. I trust the product of my raising hands.

One thing i am going to say, is that looking at you now is different from anytime i've seen you before...I cannot comprehend it or give an explanation to why, but i just feel like..You're an image of myself when i was young.."

*Lumyeer begins to have a headache as soon as he said these words..*

"Ugh...This headache again.."

Herald, "Are you okey Dad? You may be tired so let's return home."

Lumyeer, "No no, am fine it just comes quickly and goes sometimes...

But anyways, the decision shall be ultimately yours my son.

Remember! Nothing is to be put on you by force, never let it be that way.

Be not one step ahead, but two or more.."

Herald, with a serious look on his eyes, "I will."

*Herald's 3days with his parents has come to an end..*

*It's the 27th of March, 2025. 10Am*

Floweria, "Take good care of yourself son, and don't be careless no matter."

Herald, "I will mother, more importantly it's you who should do so.

It is possible that i'll be gone for a long period of time due to a work trip.

I will make sure to text you as much as possible. and take pictures of the places am in as you always ask me to do."

*Herald kisses his mother's hand.*

Floweria, "I pray to God to be your biggest companion."

Herald, "And for you dad, you'll have to slow down being old a little bit for mom, and for us.

I am sorry that i'm still not ready to take ur torch completely...

But i am on the process."

'Lumyeer, is affected by what his son had just told him but will brush it out with a smile and replies', "I am still young enough to kick your ass, you do not need to worry about anything but yourself still.

Do not forget your origins son, and i mean the origin of all... We're here for you whenever you need us."

'They both hug and this time it's the father that kisses Herald's forehead..in the same spot where his third eye is situated. Lumyeer wouldn't feel anything because as mentionned previously, Only Atlanteans are able to.'

Herald, smiles because of the ironic moment, then says "..I am aware.

Tell Louay i came here and left for him some things on his desk.

That i miss him and hope he's doing more right things than wrong ones...

See you all, if God wills it."

*Herald, departs again towards his current home...*
