Shock is an understatement.
In front of Adam is a holographic window with a notification.
"WARNING! WARNING! Due to excessive hunger HP started sustaining damage and is now in critical level. Please consume an HP recovery potion to avoid death."
This window is very familiar to Adam. It's one of those transparent notification windows. It's the standard window for the games the he usually played.
The reality of it appearing in front of him now seems absurd.
What the hell is going on?
The notification kept blinking with a red border in front of him. The beeping sound is turning into a crazy single persistent buzz as well.
He noticed three options at the bottom of the page.
1. Ignore
2. Consume a red potion
3. Access storage page
What the heck is this? Potions? Storage page?
He tapped on the third option.
Suddenly, a bigger window opened.
With eyes as big as a dining plate. He stared at all the items on the screen.
All of these are very familiar to Adam. It's the same items that were stored in his inventory in his <New Era> account. Of course since he was planning on battling a boss monster he stacked up with items and recovery potions.
He confirmed that he currently have a couple of hundred red and blue potions in his inventory. A few greater healing potions are available as well. Some status remedy potions are also available. He selected one of the red potions and hit the consume button.
He felt his constitution improve right away.
A few attribute augmentation potions are available as well.
The page is pretty much empty the only item worth of attention is equipment at the bottom.
He selected it hoping it's one of the heavenly weapons he acquired in <New Era>. However he was disappointed.
Item: Unknown
Type: ???
Damage: ???
Durability: ???
Added stats: ???
Added ability: ???
He selected the option to equip but he got another system notification.
"Insufficient player level. You must be level 50 or above to equip this item."
"Shit!"
Level 50? That's the max level in <New Era>. So that means I can go higher than 50 here? Oh well. Let just keep it in there for now.
A thought entered his mind. Since I have the storage window, is it also possible that I have the other functions too.
He swiped the window to his left like he normally does in the game. He was gratified with the appearance of the player's main menu window.
With great anticipation, he selected the 1st option. "Player Status".
Here he can clearly see all of his current stats.
Name: Adam Black
Class: The Gamer
Level: 1
EXP: 0/100
Skills: None
Ability: None
Resistance: None
"Is this my current situation?"
The Gamer? What the heck is that? Is that the reason why I can access this window? What does it mean?
However there's not much he can do about it so he opted to ignore it for now.
He went back to the main menu. Looking at his options. The second option is the storage window. Since he already accessed that page earlier he skipped it and selected option 3. "Skills and Ability page"
He noticed that he currently have three skills that he can use.
Skill: "Observe"

Next level: Range 10 meters
At the bottom of the page he saw that he currently have 3 more skill points that he can use for level up.
He stood up and looked out of the window. He spotted one of the zombies walking on the street. He activated his first skill. "Observe!".
A transparent window popped out in his field of vision.
Target: Zombie
Type: Walker
Undead human infected by the T-Virus. Slow moving.
Sensitive to sound.
He thought for a bit then added one point to "Dash". Then two points to "Drone".
Skill: "Dash"

This skill allows the user to dash in one direction. Gains additional movement speed while skill is active.

Now with this few upgrades, he feels a bit more secure.
He went back to the main menu.
