Chapter 14: The unknowledgeable video
It was evening. And now Reception. Sooyoung's new husband's relatives especially his ex girlfriends were being introduced and photos were shot. She had been smiling constantly and greeting which caused her jaws pain.
'Sooyoung-ah you can't fall for his sugar coated words.' She reminded herself.
While she was in her world, the lights went off. It became dark and people began to chitter chatter. Out of nowhere a spot light was turned on and a man stood there on the stage. His back facing everyone.
"Sorry for the lights. But we really want show this film to our little sister that we love her so much." The man said. And that man was non other than Jungmyeon.
Sooyoung mentally groaned but she was quiet happy too. And then the film started which displayed her sweet moments with her brothers. The childhood photos with her Mrs. Jung and Mr. Oh. Then appeared the images of Sooyoung and Taehyung. Those cute babies arguing, fighting for sandwich and then having their back turned to each other with their arms folded. There were laughs in the hall. A smile crept to Taehyung watching the slideshow. Whilst Sooyoung had her head hung low with embarrassment seeing those images. The film came to an end with the qoute. 'WE LOVE YOU AND YOU WILL BE OUR LITTLE SISTER FOREVER.'
Soon Jungmyeon was replaced by Sehun. He announced. "Now we aren't done yet. It was just our sister's but now it's our brother in law's." Sehun said with a proud impression.
Hearing it Taehyung was eager as well as excited to see the film that his brother in-laws had prepared.
The film started off with pictures of him, with his brother, parents, and a lot. In between of there came the photos of Sooyoung and Taehyung sleeping with our heads on each others shoulder, sharing few things, photos at the beach while we were building castles, arguing and then a video came in between.
[The video was when Sooyoung was 5 years old]
"No, I won't come." She huffed. "Come on. We have to go to the party." Mrs. Jung's voice was heard and soon appearing in the scene with a blue dress. "I won't until Taehyung oppa comes." She stamped her small foot on the ground. Her face scrunching. Suddenly Taehyung comes in the scene like a superman. "Sooyoung-ah, I'm here we will go together as we promised." He said. She hugged and then their small lips touch each other. "Love you oppa." She clinged on him. Behind the scene laughs were heard.
Sooyoung was shook by what she saw. She kissed him on his lips. She was so red faced. She really wanted to kill her brothers at that moment for presenting such a video which she had no knowledge about.
"It was just about the second couple, let's see what does the first couple hold." Jungmyeon said as he climbed on to the stage joining his brother.
The slide appeared to have their photos. During the show you felt a hand snaking to your hand which were on your thighs. She looked up to check who this person was.
To her unsurprise it was her new husband; Taehyung. He had his eyes on the screen but his hand on hers, caressing it with his thumb.
Not wanting to casue any scene she let him do what he wanted. By the end everyone were cheering.
"Now it's about speech that we have prepared for the future couple. I would like to call Uncle Yongoo to start it." Sehun said.
And one by one the new joined family members give their speeches to the new weds.
It was Taehyung's chance, he got on the stage. Forced a smile to hide his stage fear.
"Sooyoung, I love you. And I will be there for you whenever you need me. I can't forget those things that we did when we were pretty young like fighting, arguing and scolding as they were the only things we did. But those moments were the best in my life. And since then I have always loved you. And thanks to my family who have grown and taken care of a gucci man like me. Also to those who have been a part of my life for baring me. Thank you." He bowed and got off.
"Thank you to everyone who have been a part of my life. Like my mom and dad said, I will respect and take care of my in laws. And love my husband. Thank you once again." Sooyoung said something and got down.
Wedding was one long day. Now the new wives were send off to with their new family. Sooyoung's eyes brimmed as she waved to her parents within the car. While her brothers sadly yet smiling send her off.
The ride was quiet long and silent. Sooyoung was gazed out the long night lighted with street lamps. Taehyung on the other hand had a hard time to start a conversation with her.
"Sooyoung, I have something to you." He looked at Sooyoung. Upon hearing him Sooyoung glanced at him before looking out. "What is it?" Her calm voice rang in the car. "We are living in an apartment. Not with my parents or Hyung." He said and waited for a response.
But then they reached their destination. Taehyung got down and went next to Sooyoung's side. But she was already out and was closing the door. She saw the big building. He gave a simple nod to the driver. The driver took the small luggage of Sooyoung and entered the tall building. With the couple following him.
