Chapter 5: Lin Long Tian's Discovery
" You cheeky brat, when will you stop pretending and wake up" Lin Chen said with feigned anger
" ..... Oh father when did you enter my room" Lin Long Tian said with a clueless expression glued on his face.
Lin Chen laughed saying " Still pretending hoh. Why don't you check your dantian and merdians and see if they are all right."
" Okay. Why is this, my merdians and dantian have been shattered. " Lin Long Tian said with fake shock on his face.
" Hahahaha you still dont know when to give up don't you."
"Your terrible acting can't fool me." Lin Chen said with an impressed look on his face.
" Um father this isn't what you think" Lin Long Tian tried to explain with gulit written all over his face.
" It's okay son, I might not know why you decided to shatter your dantain and merdians on purpose. But all I need to know is that you are my son so I will trust your decisions." Lin Chen slowly explained with care.
Lin Long Tian hit his head with a great bang on the floor saying " This son thanks father for his trust in him and I promise to tell you why I decided to restart my cultivation from the start in the future."
Lin Chen sighed with complexed emotions " It's okay son you can tell when you feel ready."
He told him to stand back up and his expressions shifted to great worry as he said " I hope you realize that destroying your dantian and merdians. It will only make cultivating twice as hard and will affect your progress speed."
Lin Long Tian responed with a smile " I thank father for all his worries and promise that from now on I will try to be more conscious of my decisions."
" But wait, father how did you discover that I personally shattered my own dantian and merdians?"
Lin Chen said with a look of great joy as he said" Of course I knew it was fake as only your merdians and dantian was affected."
" Futhermore your inner organs where not touched at all. This was also the reason I decided to trust your decision and not push on"
Lin Long Tian faked a look of enlightment as he said" Of course, I could never trick father with my little skills. But why then did grand elder not notice it as well."
Lin Chen continued adding reasons as he explained it was due to the grand elder not yet being in minor sage realm.
Lin Long Tian slowly turned away trying to sneak out as he declared since his business here was done he should get back to his room to get more sleep
Lin Chen said with a blank tone " Not so fast. As your clan head I am glad that you are safe and sound but as your father, I'm furious that you even tried this without consulting your mother and I."
"You are prohibited from leaving your room unless it is to go into the clan library and in fact since you will have a lot more free time I want you to finish reading all the clan books available to you in a month which should be about 8000 books."
Lin Long Tian black eyes grew bigger by the second as he tried to look as cute as possible to ask his father if it was possible to only read 4000 books as it might affect, his rebuliding of his dantian and merdians.
Lin Chen not moved said " You should have taught about the punishment that would be in order before attempting something so dangerous."
" You better leave if you plan to finish all those books in just a month's time."
Lin Long Tian started to walk out of the room with his face down as Lin Chen looked at his back filled with complexed emotions as he started to realized that his son is slowly getting matured.
Lin Long Tian left his father's room with a frown painted on his face, after a a moment he arrived at the Lin library and immedately let out a deep sigh as he looked very proud of himself.
The mysterious voice filled with curosity asked" Why are you happy to be sent away just to read bunch of useless books? "
Lin Long Tian said in a teasing voice " You don't know why. "
Mysterious voice replied in a huff " You brat, you dare make fun of me"
Lin Long Tian laughed as he spoke in a complacent tone" It was because this was all part of my plan. I purposely let my inner organs not get disrupted as to let my father not worry about the reason why I did it. Or else my father would not have let me off so easily. "
" I also knew he would punish me, so I was a little scared of what kind of punishment he would give me, but luckily he gave me such an easy task."
Lin Long Tian walked up to Lin Yun who was a grumpy middle age elder in charge of the clan's library due to his low potential in cultivation. Lin Long Tian spent few minutes telling him the reason for his sudden arrival.
Lin Yun then pointed Lin Long Tian towards the sections that he was allowed to read, reminding him to not damage the books.
Lin Long Tian took the first book out and started reading then came to a quick stop. His face immediately turned into a grin which lit up the room.
