Chapter 38: XXXVll
After dinner, we all went to the living room. Andrew was somewhat keeping his distance from me which felt very painful. But, I remained quiet and didn't mention it.
"So, there is something we need to talk about." Creed said, gaining all of our attentions. "It has to do with our enemy, Silver and Roxas."
"It seems as if they are planning some sort of attack. The target? It turned out to be mainly you, Sasuko." Pakura added, which made Andrew tense up.
"Hmph! They never give up huh? If they really wanted to kill me, why didn't they when they were still my foster parents? They could have simply lied about me death." I said annoyed.
"Yes, but you never know if it might accidently slip out of their mouths. They are not stupid. They are doing their best to play safe." Jewel said.
"And the best way to play safe is: using those who are very loyal to them." Atsushi added.
"Like the one that caused Sara and I to do something unwilling." Andrew said.
"Exactly." Creed stated. "This time, it seems as if Hinata Tsunatsu is going to be part of it."
"That b**** envies me a lot!! I hate her!! And yet, she is after Leon. What makes her think he would accept her?!" I exclaimed.
"Gurl, I dont know! I personally think she is just after the title "Queen."" Ash said with complete disgust.
"But don't worry. Leon is aware of this. I just informed him. He'll help out with this issue." Pakura reassured.
"So, when do you think they would attack?" Andrew asked.
"Most likely when Sasuko is alone or with someone who wouldn't be able to protect her."
"Damn them..." Andrew said, growling angrily.
"Until then, we need to play 'dumb.' That way, we can have the upper hand." Creed said.
"Yes, i agree." I said.
"With that settled, make sure to stick among those you know that can protect you. They might be after Sasuko but that doesn't mean others might not get hurt. That couple might use the injury of others close to Sasuko to set her into a trap." Pakura said.
"So, technically, until this attack is over, I need to be heartless." I concluded.
"Exactly."
"Alright, it won't be easy but it might help to save many of my close ones lives."
"It will. No doubt about it. Now, let's sleep. It is late."
"Alright."
--in the room--
Andrew and I layed on the bed close to each other. He had me within his embrace like an overprotective father.
"Everything is going to be fine, right?" He asked.
Gently kissing his cheek, I smile small. "Yes. Don't worry much. I promise everything... is going to be fine.."
"Alright... good night love." Andrew gently kisses my forehead before closing his eyes.
"Good night..." I said, closing my eyes as well.
