Chapter 14: Quite a lot of time Skips
So now Mint tells Kirito that there is a special drop from the event boss Nicholas The Renegade that can revive players as he knows Kirito is still depressed about Sachi dying but he doesn't tell Kirito the specifics because "That is a new item made after the game started so I don't have information about it" because if he knew about the timer on the item he would be devastated and not do the power leveling he previously did...
A small time-skip now... Now the day the boss spawn is near and Kirito is with Mint requesting to help him with the boss as Kirito doesn't want to fight this boss alone because danger but Mint knows that Kirito unconsciously wants emotional support from a close buddy in case the item was false at the end, Mint openly says this and Kirito is flustered about it as he realizes it's true and apologizes, Mint says that it's not a bother and agrees to accompany him to the end. Mint is level 80 and Kirito is level 70, Mint is currently wearing a long robe that is similar to the one he wore at the start of Sao (A combination of the The Fatal Scythe robe and the GM robe), the robe hides most of Mint's face except his mouth, and under it is strange armor but as the robe doesn't let you view it I won't go into details.

We both walk silently in the snowy cold forest towards a big tree while Kirito is checking the map, I chose to bring my Scythe and Shield as I prefer using these with other people around. As Kirito is in his little monologue world thinking about what he would do after Sachi revived and about death we entered the radius of the tree, Kirito noticed and I nodded as he turned toward me and we started running, I kept my speed at about Kirito's as I can be much faster then him if I wanted.
We kept running until we heard a bell noise, we knew that someone entered the radius of the tree and prepared to fight, I smiled (A welcoming one) while readying my scythe with 2 hands while Kirito put his hand on his sword ready to unsheath it but, of course, it's only Klein following us with his group, Klein started talking about that this game isn't a joke, etc but as he tried to make himself join the fight I stopped him and said "Look, Klein, I know you are worried about us but you know how strong we are, plus..." as I said this I snapped my fingers and 9 Ice Devils [CR 14] {were blue and white, insectile bipeds that stood about 10.5‒12 ft (3.2‒3.7 m) tall. Their hands and feet ended in claws and their long, thick tails were surrounded in spikes. Their heads hosted a set of antenna, sharp mandibles, and a pair of multifaceted eyes.} I continued talking "As you see with we 2 players have are at the level of the clearing guilds with my ability..." I suddenly got rudely interrupted as "The Divine Dragon Alliance" appeared in the area radius of the tree near us, my smile changed into one between a welcoming and a maniacal one as I felt the urge to chop off their heads because of that interruption combined with their clear intent to steal the drop item, but before I rushed to kill them Klein urged both Kirito and me to kill the boss while his group held them off, I nodded at Kirito when he was hesitating as Klein's impression rose silently for me, as we were running to the boss I commanded 3 Ice Devils to cast Wall of Ice behind us so I won't need to see the faces of the rude bastards [the DDA] and continued running. when we arrived we heard a jingle and bells started while a shadow was falling, there he is, Nicholas The Renegade being weird...
I commanded the Ice Devils to stab it with their spears and tails while I argo it, I then commanded Kirito to go on the offensive while I block its attacks, Kirito screamed while I quietly said "Switch" at key moments where the boss is stunned or the Frost of the ice devils spear freeze it enough that it can't attack so Kirito knows I will go on the offensive too.
As I couldn't find the fight scene we skip...
As Kirito finishes the boss off he falls to the ground panting, I send the Ice Devils back and I lean on my tower shield as I slightly pant, Kirito seems to have a happy smile as he looks at me probably thinking about the time we fought against the first boss together then he brightens up even more as he reads the name of the item, he happily reads the description but suddenly he seems to entirely freeze as he reads it, again and again, to make sure he didn't read the 10-second timer on the item wrong, me being his brother comfort him for a bit...
My acting seems to be perfect like always as I even replaced my surface thoughts with lies to fool the system, perfect as a creation of Mint should be. But I guess ones that found out about Mint and worship him could have a few imperfections... [This fact will be an important plot device in the future for my novel so remember this or don't, ill probably mention it at that time about this]

It's now February 24th, 2024. Silica is experiencing the same problem as originally as the devil emperor is on an important quest his familiar gave him or that's what he told her, so anyways she joined the same team temporarily for a bit and got in the same trouble but this time as the devil emperor said he will soon finish his quest Silica doesn't care as much for the group and just found a good reason to leave them. So as she's excited about the devil emperor's return she is ambushed by the drunk apes and now to the scene where Pina sacrifices herself to save Silica.
As Pina is killed and Silica begins crying she can hear a faint voice of the emperor calling for her, in the distance you can see a kid around the height of Silica riding a Shoosuva [CR 8] {Shoosuvas were 6 ft (1.8 m) high, bestial quadrupeds that squatted hungrily as they stood. They resembled emaciated hyenadons, with the key differences being the series of bony ridges that went down their spines and their giant poisonous tail stingers. Their skin was mottled and their fur was patchy, a fact made more clear by the yellow, nauseating, phosphorescent light that was emitted by their bodies. The wicked light also highlighted their leprous throats, bloated eyes, and the jagged fangs that filled their slavering maws.} and around him 15 more in a formation surrounding him, as he sees the 3 Drunk Apes now swinging their club at the dazed Silica he seemingly becomes enraged and he roars out loud [imagine a titan warcry(?)] activating a skill <Bloodlust Enslavement> which competes the user's Bloodlust/Rage against the mentality of the target, it has various uses from taming to paralyzing the target, this time he chose to paralyze and as the apes start falling over 5 Shoosuvas rush for 1 ape each as they felt the command to murder the apes in that roar, as the sound of murdered apes echoed the emperor approached Silica as she's still crying at the loss of her friend and hugged her and said "There's an item on the 47th floor to revive tamed monsters, I went there a couple of times to prepare myself in case something similar to this happened. Don't worry I will for sure bring Pina back for you." when he finished his sentence Silica hugged him while sobbing a saying "Thank you" over and over as she was extremely thankful for him, [this didn't happen to Kirito because they only met and Silica knew the Devil emperor for a long time so she's more open with him].
So as this gear fits Silica's level the most the Devil emperor gave her the same set Kirito did...
