Chapter 6: The rise of demons [part 2]

The raiding party is now in front of the boss room after 1 and a half of fighting, the group rests for 10 minutes and they then entered the boss room, the demon kings summoned 4 Quaisit demons each [CR of 1] {Quaisit are said to be similar to imps, their tiny humanoid forms had green skin covered in warts and pustules, had tails covered in barbs, while their 2 horns were spiky. their hands and feet were slender, with long, claw-tipped digits. Many demons say they are the chaotic counterpart to Imps. they can turn invisible.} and they remained invisible, they scouted ahead in the dungeon while the parties rested and when it was time to fight the boss the demon kings dismissed their familiars except for the demon king in group E which was commanded by Mint to save Diavel, [you'll see how I will deal with him] when the boss battle began it was as before almost, the demon emperor killed with ease each Sentinal kobold that faced him, Kirito and Asuna supported like in the original, and this time the boss got damaged faster, when the tanks had their health in the yellow Mint told them to switch with him and to heal up, they did so because his skill was witnessed by them and trusted him, Mint parries every hit with his Scythe and the weapon of the boss seemed more damaged each parry, the tanks go back to their positions and Mint continues attacking, this time instead of the boss throwing his weapons away Mint uses a scythe skill called <Draconic Tooth> that starts with the user leaping into the air with the scythe overhead, then striking down at the enemy, Mint does this and as expected the boss blocks with his weapon and shield, you could see the Scythe drilling into them and destroying them, you could see Diavel gulping nervously because he planned to get the final hit of the boss, the weapon turns to shards and the boss barely dodged the skill at the end, you could see Mint casualy lifting the scythe and saying "I got too used to my previous weapon I miscalculated the strike, don't worry I won't miss next time..." Mint ends the sentence with a sinister smile, at this moment you could see Diavel rushing to the boss and saying "don't worry, you rest and I shall finish this, I'm guessing that skill takes a lot of energy and has a long cooldown so you rest while we defeat him!", the boss pulls out the weapon on his back he had and prepares to kill Diavel, Kirito snaps out of it when he saw the weapon the boss is using isn't the one he used in the beta and warns Diavel to back out and about the sword, it was too late as Diavel is struck back, flying back with wounds that should kill him, when this happened Mint shouts "Devils, appear! Unleash the Demons!" while he says this, 4 Spined Devils appear cackling and with a bit of delay the other demon kings unleashed 4 Maw demon each and the demon emperor unleashes 6 Maw demons [CR 1] {A maw demon resembled an enormous toothy mouth surrounded by a small plethora of stubby appendages. The squat, bulbous body of a maw demon was practically split in half to accommodate their giant gullets and their four arms worked to carry food to their slavering jaws. Their ugly hides were a shade of dull brown.}, in total 18 maw demons are summoned, everyone is shocked and terrified of these fiends as expected, the Quasit appear and catch Daviel, Kirito is still shocked yet runs to Daviel with the Quasits supporting him that are forcing him to drink a potion, Kirito is startled still but starts to calm down because his brother summoned these, Daviel is shocked but tells Kirito like in the original but this time he says "tell Mint to get the final strike... with how strong he is and this support he will probably will get it easily-" he stops for a second because his legs that were cut off during the fight with the boss aren't healing, "fuck I think my legs aren't healing... just go back to fighting the boss..." Kirito is suprised because this is a first of limbs not healing, Kirito nods and heads off to fight the boss with Mint but stops at the sight of the battle, Spined devils pick up 2 maw demons each and airdrop them at the uppers parts of the boss while the ones not picked up jump and bite the boss's legs, the boss is knocked down and is howling in pain from all the sharp teeth of the maw demons, you could see some that torn a part of the boss and at those wounds you could slightly see the bones, when the boss is knocked down the Spined devils fly up to his belly and start stabbing the forks they have while madly cackling, you can see the hp bar previously red turn to blue with black in it, Mint has frozen the hp because after the maw demons bit once he would have died and Mint wants everyone to know the suffering a single boss can get, everyone that isn't close to Mint is silently panicking, the summoners come to Mint and bow but he stops them and shakes their hands instead while saying "good job", everyone is shocked of what they are doing while the boss is howling in pain, while the maw demons continue to eat the boss, it seems like someone gathered up the courage and asked respectfully "So... what's the deal with the boss, and what are those monsters you summoned? and why did you show your powers only now?", Mint has thrown a voice there that asked this because everyone else was afraid, Mint answers "Well first, if you looked close enough at the moment the flying monsters dropped the bite monsters they threw a spine of theirs, you could see it stuck to the boss right now, those spines made the bite monsters think it is tasty so as you saw they ate it, because they wanted to eat it fully they stopped the disappearance of the body that happens when it dies. Second, the flying monsters are called Spined Devils, the monsters that hold Daviel are call Quasits and the bite monsters are called Maw Demons, they are "Fiends". Third, I wanted these Fiends to not scare anyone, I wasn't so sure how much I could use these [lie] and I wanted to not be relied upon too much...", the people digested these words silently Mint commanded "Hey, finish eating and let me kill it" the spined devils gave it a last stab in the neck and took their spines from him, the maw demons stopped eating and left the groaning boss, Mint-"hey Kirito come here a sec" Kirito unconsciously came to him and when he did Mint grabbed his hand still holding the sword and slashed at the boss, Kirito is surprised but Mint explains "You know how I have these fiends, when someone directly from me finishes a monster, I gain the resources it's supposed to get, but if it's a player..." as he stops talking Kirito sees a final attack bonus, Mint apparently got it too because he is reading something that appeared, everyone cheers and claps... Now Kibau says "You are a beta tester aren't you! If you told us about that attack pattern Daviel wouldn't have had to sacrifice both legs! And You! You were that GM that Kayaba talked to, you are probably working with him when thinking about that ability of yours!", silence fell upon everyone, Daviel is unconscious because of trauma so he can't defend them. Then a mocking laugh comes from Mint as he stood up, "You foolish man, why would I work with him? I just guessed that I would be stripped from my GM powers so I made some skills and supplies in a secret area hidden even from Kayaba's eyes! If I didn't do as much then I wouldn't have the ability to repair the bug in the NerveGear, if I didn't someone would be affected by it and probably die by now! I saved a player's life and now you accuse me to work with him if anything I'm just a cheater that would give people countless nightmares! So please don't compare me to the other lower GMs, who knows maybe Kayaba himself is beneath me! So Kayaba trapped all of you so that means he is above you, so that means I am too high to reach for you in your lifetimes!" Mint then equips a cloak that seemed to be the same as Kirito's but white... then people start saying he is a hacking GM and too arrogant, which someone combines and says arrogant hacker master or AHM for short {fuckin stupid name I know but if anyone can give me a better name I might use it}, Mint just walks away, they then turn to Kirito and demand an explanation why didn't he tell them, etc...
