Chapter 3: Chapter 2 : needing a place to sleep, entering a competition instead!
Li Wei looked around, after leaving the hospital he had just started walking with no plan whatsoever and with no goal in sight at all. Black cars, white cars, grey cars passed by. The small streets were crowded leaving absolutely no personal space. He could even hear and feel the middle-aged man breathing behind him!
Although the woman in front of him could probably hear his breathing as well. It had already been 2 months since he woke up at the hospital, Discovering that he had Amnesia! Although his memory would probably come back at some point in his life it was still troublesome. from what the doctors had discovered from their researching both his father and sister were dead one from suicide and well the other also from suicide... his mother had run away to some foreign country...probably
The doctors Rui, Hong and he had gotten quite close. Rui with his serious but caring attitude and Hong with her long-lasting goofiness made a great pair although they clearly weren't willing to admit it, kekeke, yet.
A pair of mother and daughter were looking at him for a moment, the mother meeting Li Wei's dark brown eyes for a moment before looking down and whispering to her daughter before giving him a mental stare. Hai! Mental? Your whole Dammed family is mental!
Alright, maybe he shouldn't have laughed in THAT kind of manner but don't they know it's rude to stare? Also, come to think of it where in the world would he sleep? Sleeping on the street wasn't really a choice he would probably get kicked out by the other homeless people. What should he do? Sleep at the local cloth washing store? No, he couldn't do that the police would kick him out.
Having no place to go, Li Wei, was in a position of confusion. Where would he go? He didn't have any money so hotels wasn't a possibility. So he did the only thing he could do walk, Li Wei knew he wouldn't get anywhere, after all, how could a man without dreams live. It's like saying how can a woman love her own child without even having one.
Beijing's city lights had always been bright, bright as the shining, glimmering stars honoring our black nights. So naturally, it would look even better honoring our blue skies!
Walking further into the crowds a stage appeared and in front of it a sign ''Singing competition! Compete to win a week's free stay at the most luxurious hotel in town! and the newest XSGR phone! ''
Seeing this Li Wei immediately felt excited a one weeks stay at a hotel? count me in. Just seeing the word ''free'' makes him thirst for it kekeke he's going to win this no matter what it takes.
Although it was crowdy everywhere he went he finally managed to get to the application center. It's surprising how the table could hold all of the paperwork and two computers seeing how much everything on it weighted. The man behind the table looked up at him finally realizing Li Wei's presence '' You're lucky if you had come at most three minutes later it would have already been too late to sign up'' Thankfully he hadn't come to too late Li Wei sighed to himself or else he would have to sleep on a bench well he would have to if he loses today but let's not be pessimistic. after handling all of the paperwork Li Wei said ''Thank You'' and continued on to the place the employee had ordered him to go.
Looking at the people in the backstage area some had already made friends and was happily chatting in their little groups. Seeing this Li Wei was kind of disappointed since he came too late and everyone had already begun their preparations while others were quietly thinking to themselves. Li Wei didn't know many songs and it didn't help either that he had amnesia. Although he rested in the hospital for one month before coming back to reality. The only songs he had heard where the ones either coming from the radio Or some songs Hong had forced him to listen to. Sighs being friends with a hardcore Boy group stan is hard work Hong had literally forced him to listen to CurvedCry from the second he woke up to the second he laid down, Nah let's forget that from the second he woke up from the coma to the second he had left the hospital!
So naturally, he was now an expert on CurvedCry's songs but although their songs were good it only lasted for a while since they were really shallow the only song Li Wei could think of that he, after all, this time still liked was ''An Empty Star'' it was from what Hong had told him a big hit when it came out and is seen as very iconic and it also helps that it the song perfectly describes his feelings right now, at the moment.
