Chapter 65: Going back to Amber Village.

Anna was sitting outside of the house observing the village, there was something that was troubling her.

"I decided to follow you and your ideals…yet I this village is close to my heart. I feel bad when you want to let it suffer…" She started a conversation and slowly turned at Aron.

"You…What happened to you?" Anna saw Aron's change; it was subtle like previously.

"This is something…I cannot speak about. Don't doubt me. You made your choice! I am fair… Those people will receive their chance in the future. They can decide their fate. I can make the village flourish and I can destroy it." Aron couldn't help them for pretty smile, and he needed strength and money. The weak Samaritan won't secure future for him and his followers.

"Ok. We need to depart soon. Do you know how to ride a horse?" There was a possibility of carrying her on his back entire way, still it wouldn't be comfortable for both of them.

"No… Horses are rare in poor settlements. We had few in village. It was years ago and I didn't have a chance to ride one." Horses stolen from bandits were waiting for their first task, so he decided to slowly implement them in his journeys.

"Wait here for a moment." Aron rushed into another direction to summon horses outside of her sight.

A few moments later, he came back with pair of horses.

'I had few horses in my previous life. Riding isn't so hard…I will try to teach her.' The previous life allowed him to experience many things, and his company was controlling many industries with success. His wealth was gigantic and he could literally buy anything he wanted.

[Skill Horsemanship generated]

Aron displayed her how to mount, ride and control horse. They spent some time and finally Anna could ride horse without his assistance. Anna had some necessities packed in bag, so Aron threw put it on his horse.

"Let's go!" They couldn't travel at maximum speed because of her, so it was peaceful and slow journey.

"What about you and Ian?" Aron decided to ask about simple matter, he knew that Ian still feel something for her. The question was simple. Does she still have some feelings for her lover from the past?

"It's matter of the past…I have child now…and I am widow…" She started to use excuses to change topic, still Aron knew their secrets.

"You have child with Ian and you buried your fake husband…." She didn't expect him to know such things about them.

"Don't lie… Tell me if you feel something to that moronic blacksmith." Aron wanted to check if there will be any problems in future. They were important subordinates and if they started argue about every matter because of their unresolved feelings, he would be forced to make some steps to prevent this situation.

"I…still love him… but I am currently widow and he…has a wife…" Tears appeared inside of her eyes, he reminded her about her deepest sorrow.

"Why don't you fight for your love? Are you afraid of villagers? Let me know if anyone bothers you. I will take care of it. You are one of my people! I won't allow anyone to bully you!" In his previous life, he used nano technology to control most of his subordinates. This time, he wanted to try to build the stable master-servant relationship between him and his subordinates.

'I might control them a little, but I will give them some personal freedom.' He spotted some hypocrisy in his own plan, still there was no other way. Trust and control, it was best way to create healthy organization.

They finally reached the Amber Village, and his fame was faster than him. People already knew about his deeds and many watched him with respect.

"You will live in my mansion. We will talk about your job later." There were many things, and he wanted to do right now. His papermill was working for long time, so there should be big amount of paper accumulated. Clay Village was producing bricks and he wanted to check their quality.

'I was thinking about some entertainment…' Creating something to relieve stress of stupid villagers was pretty easy but hard at the same time. His first choice was simple board games like chess or Ludo.

'I will prepare those things later…' There were many things to do and stress reliever was thing of lesser priority.

The paper mill efficiency was great, it produced enough paper for many books. First priority was elementary knowledge like math, chemistry and physics. Aron decided to work on couple books about breeding animals, taming, and archery. His knowledge in those fields was good enough to guide people.

'I forgot essential part… Most of people cannot read…' Reading in middle ages was rare skill, simple farmers didn't have a need to learn such thing.

'I need to teach those people…at least reading and writing…' Writing books would be pointless if there was none to read them.

His decision was simple, use Anna to create class to teach people reading and writing. Aron promised 1 bag of wheat for every person that decides to start learning those essential skills. People who manage learn the skill will receive additional rewards.

'I will have bricks…I need to create cement.' He had all necessary ingredients for this substance, buildings made of concrete and bricks were way better than simple wooden shacks.

Cement is pulverized limestone, oysters, freshwater mussels or seashells that has been heated to high heat to remove CO2.

Concrete is a mixture of cement, water, sand and gravel.

Mortar is a mixture of cement, water, sand and lime.

The couple of able men got to grind limestone into powder, it will heated up later into cement. He lacked oysters and mussels, still it wasn't so necessary for simple cement.

'I need to go to city. There are many things that cannot be found around villages.' His wealth was pointless if it couldn't be monetized or exchanged into new things.

His next target will be conquering Red maple Village, and finishing matters in Copperhead Village. He needed to train his professions to become even stronger.

'I think Carl and Anna can cooperate on teaching new generations.' It was definitely easier to teach kids than adults, and the reason was simple. Children have bigger learning capacity, but they don't have prejudices against the world. Adults have baggage of experience, and they belittle any literacy as it's not necessary for survival.

1/5 for this week. I was a little busy, so I didn't release any chapter earlier. I had to babysit one of my cousins, a little annoying kid. The one problem about kids is they won't let you focus on your things. Thanks for the support. I will release four more this week, so don't worry!
