Chapter 4: Chapter 3: Memories
is thoughts of marriage went through my head I had to figure out a response to write back to him. what would it be? Would I be as direct as him? What I say that I actually wanted this? Will I accept his proposal? I had no idea what I was going to say back to him. with my mother upset I couldn't get her off my mind. so I went to the council, and I asked them what I should do. after my meeting with the council I had a lot of things to prepare for. marriage! I was about to get married. I couldn't believe this, I'm only 22 years old I've never been close to any male, except my father, and councilman and... And him. him, I do not like to mention his name much. but I think... He was my first love. I finally decided after my meeting with the council that I will accept his proposal and I will accept his invitation to the Royal Palace of Hell. as I thought of these words and what I would do I can only see my mother's face petrified by the idea of me going there knowing what happened when I was small. she never told me exactly what happened nor can I remember, but I know we used to be close to them.
(Switches point of view to Prince Sxyarei)
Sxyarei: My father has threatened Princess Wxuaze Xioa is over for the fifth time today. All because she accepted my proposal, "are you listening" my father asked "yes" I said. I lied. The last thing I heard him say was "power always matters," but he wasn't always like that. 10 years ago the king of Gulyar died. Without permission the Hellishtu army forces attacked Gulyar. The king and my father used to be close friends before then. My father tried to explain to the queen of Gulyar that the Hellishtu army forces moved on their own, But she never could forgive that mistake. Before those days the princess and I would spend time with each other, she even lived in the royale palace for a while. But then there was an accident when she was about 12 and I was 14 we were in the Imperial Garden we were playing tag. I was chasing her around, and I guess she had forgotten about the well,and she ran too close to it and fell down to the bottom. she must have blacked out during the fall. When she was taken to the Imperial doctor she couldn't remember my name or what happened, but she remembered everyone else. I couldn't live with that. so I tried to do everything to make her remember, but she always forgot, only about me. after that incident they left the Royal Palace and went back to Gulyar.
