Chapter 35: Rapidly beating
Tral and Darick were off on their mock supply run and still had a few days before they needed meet up with Riddick to gather information so while they were completely unaware of what had transpired back in Desrosa they had decided to make a trip up to one of the east coast city's where Heavenly Force were supposed to be holding a fan fair.
As they flew through the air in a fighter jet to make good time, Tral was excitedly going off about seeing one of the members of Heavenly Force "Oh man I can wait to get a hug from Lump, he's the best hero ever!"
Darick sighed in relief at that "That's great to hear cause for a bit there I was worried you would try and use this as an excuse to see Rapid again. Gara would do unspeakable things to both of us if she found out you were even in the same city as your ex."
Tral sighed back at that comment "Gara shouldn't hate on Rapid like that, our relationship wasn't that bad." To which Darick's mouth just dropped up to hang for a second before clarifying "Dude, I'm your friend so I'll be honest. You two are straight toxic together, She breaks you bones and you break her heart all the time. You might not remember when we had to separate you cause the last time you two were together we found that she left you unconscious in a pool of your own blood!"
Tral just shrugs it off like nothing happened "We were having a minor argument and she only fractured a few bones."
Darick reacted with the most confused expression "How do you even rationalize that relationship, she is excessively violent, super devoted to the church and obsessive but not just about you as we all know she is absolutely star struck by Overpower. The only member of Heavenly Force the isn't polygamous is Lump because well Lump… Lump loves everyone but never like that cause the Lumpster is way to innocent for all that kinky stuff."
"Overpower is a freaking jerk! I don't get what she sees in that flying butthole." Tral rants with Darick laughing in response "Ok for one you're quite the butthole yourself and two I believe she sees the burly muscle bound demi angel who is a massive celebrity and wants a piece of that even if she has to share with Seraph and every other fan girl."
At this point they had made it to the appropriate location of the fairgrounds so to stop Darick from making any further comment Tral ejected them from the cockpit while the plane flew off on auto pilot to wherever Tral set it to.
As they descended Darick had a scowl on his face staring at Tral whole just casually turned his back until they almost reached the ground at which point he made a massive bouncy castle for them to land on. They weren't too far from the fairgrounds at that point so they just biked over to buy tickets.
They weren't in the park for even an hour before Tral wandered off from Darick getting them separated by the crowd. Darick was pissed but they had a pre-arranged meeting spot as they normally do in case anything happened so he could only hope that everything was alright and since he couldn't do anything about it now he decided to go stand in line to get Lumps autograph.
Tral meanwhile had snuck off to an empty tent to make a phone call "Hey R, haven't seen you in a while and noticed you were still wearing the necklace I gave you… … Ya I know and I'm sorry but the others dragged me away... … Well you see I got away from them and left you an other letter in the blue striped tent at the fairgrounds."
It only took a second before a blur of blue and yellow light blew open the tent flap. Suddenly Tral got slapped across the face so hard he fell to the ground which he recovered quickly by posing on the floor. In front of him now stood a 5"6 athletic easterner with her short black hair slicked backwards above her sweatband.
"Well it took you long enough, I haven't seen you in a year and then you turn up suddenly at my own celebration, what do you expect from me huh?" She spouts off incredibly quickly "You think that cause you leave me sweet letters all over the world that I'm just going to come running whenever you call or that because I'm still wearing this diamond heart necklace it's because I care? Maybe the church wanted me to wear it so that we could trap your stupid ass and Overpower will be here in a moment to beat you bloody with one wing!"
Tral stood up fast at this but didn't run, instead he got closer to her to whisper "So you are saying we only have a moment together before we get separated forever. Then I want you to have this pin, It's a crystallized Tura flower for your headband. I know it's your favorite flower and wanted something that wouldn't break apart while you go."
She punched him in the chest for this but took the flower to stare at it in wonder. It was a wide leafed twisted purple flower with pointed tips. She was absolutely smitten by its beauty. Before she knew what was happening Tral pulled it out of her hands to fastened it to her headband just above her ear while saying "A beautiful flower for a beautiful girl. I have missed you so much my heart aches and I wish we could just run away together."
She blushes for a moment before turning away hastily "You know I could never do that, the church may have a do not kill order for you but if we left together Overpower would definitely find us and rip me in half. How could you be so crazy? Why don't you just surrender to the church so we can see each other when ever we want?"
Now it was Tral's turn to look away "You know that they would just put me in a cell to make them whatever they want. We would never see each other and if we did it would be without romance or passion."
She passed for a moment to think but a moment was all Tral needed to pull her in for hug to say "We don't need any of those old arguments when we have each other right now. I care about you too much to lose out on our time together."
She almost responded with " I care…" but Tral had silenced her with a deep kiss. At first she was surprised and punched him in the arm but when he didn't release his lips she gave in to kiss him back harder.
It didn't take them long to get more intimate after that as her hands moved all over his body at an incredible pace only pausing for moments to grab him tightly before moving somewhere else.
It wasn't until late the next morning that while waiting at the meet up location Darick saw a hunched up old man coming towards him. At first he thought it was the crazy information guru but after a moment of staring at him, Darick laughed "Tral is that you under all that get up?"
He went over to pat his friend on the shoulder in relief that he had returned but Tral winced hard while sucking in air from the sudden pain "Oy would you give me a break, I'm pretty tired ok so if it's all the same I would rather pass out while you drive." He claims before making a quinjet appear.
Darick squinted his eyes at him for a second before proclaiming "You went and saw Rapid didn't you! Come on then show me the bruises so I can wrap you up properly but you better not let Gara find out about them or we are both done for."
