Chapter 2: Time to Choose

For 10 years Ben Drake was studying the few books he had in his house about pokemon in order to better understand this world that is not equal to anime in some aspects.

The pokemon are docile although sometimes they beat them to the ground, not everyone wants to be trapped and deprived of their freedom or that was so at the beginning of time, after a few years the pokemon understood that they could be stronger with humans and power survive or have a better life compared to death fights in the pokemon domains.

It became a common knowledge among pokemon that they could get stronger by meeting a pokemon trainer and have a more comfortable life for it, sometimes the pokemon would give their eggs to humans with the hope that their children have a better life, but It only happens where there are cities with a long time living in that area.

During these ten years I could only confirm two wishes, the trading system works with Pokecoins, it works as a portable store in which I can always buy anything at the time and place I want, the difference to other stores is that there are things that They are rare, the prices of things in the store are the same as the one the League dictates, but since I only have a maximum of 100 Pokedollars a week, there is nothing worth buying.

While studying I found that there are ranks as a Pokemon Trainer, there are 7 as far as I can know now:

Rookie

Intermediate

Advanced

Elite

Professional

Champion

Only the first three are dictated by how many gymnasium medals you have, it dictated the rank of one, while to advance in the next ones it is based on one's pokemon at the time of fighting.

There are more professions apart from Master Pokemon and the most requested, the pokemons of this world usually attack the towns and the passers-by, one day there was an avalanche of pokemons that tried to invade the Palette Town but a Charizard stopped them just by being there and imposing his aura, for a second the world kept silent to give respect to the Charizard, the pressure was so much that many people knelt others vomited but everyone had a great respect for that Charizard.

After he showed his aura the pokemon fainted or fled from fear, that Charizard belongs to Professor Oak.

That event only helps to reaffirm the decision of four children, the son of the Mayor, Gary Oak, Ash Ketchum and Ben Drake.

Professor Oak encourages young people to become pokemon trainers but on condition that they send their reserve pokemon to investigate and see how they are affected depending on the location and environment where they were captured.

Professor Oak will give three pokemon that he believes are the best initiators, Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle, all of them are children of their own pokemon.

He will also deliver his classic Pokedex which is a sign of being under the care of Samuel Oak.

The reason why they allow children of 10 years to venture out is that humanity needs these Pokémon trainers a lot, they are the pillars of humanity, although in this present their notoriety is not the same as before.

Two days ago I submitted my request to be a Pokemon Teacher to Professor Oak and yesterday I received the acceptance to go early tomorrow to pick up my initial Pokemon.

My parents were trying to change my mind about being a Pokemon Master, but at some point, they stopped trying when they realized that it was my Dream and not an illusion or a passing wish.

My family is made up of Ben Drake my father a man of few words but a chicken heart, Silvia Drake my mother with a quiet personality as long as it does not make her angry, for some reason she has a great aura like Charizard from Professor Oak and my two younger brothers who are twins, Kenya and Keita, they are 6 years younger than me.

Since today would be the last day at home to start my adventure, my little brothers slept with me that night.

* Fastidious alarm making noise as if your life depended on it *

"Ugh ... Good Ben, get out of here" * Pam * I slapped my cheeks to wake up and help.

It's 6:14 but when I went down to the dining room my things were in order, although I prepared them, I had just piled them inside my backpack which now looks decent and even there is an obento and a saucer with food to heat, my Parents are asleep so this was due to see him ready last night.

The new coaches were requested at 7 am in Professor Oak's lab outside the Paleta town.

When I arrived there were a lot of people, this generation was more expected than others and the reason is simple, the son of the mayor, Red and Green will start their adventure.

Inside the laboratory were only Professor Oak and two other young people. When I arrived, Professor Oak still kept waiting for someone else, but after 10 minutes he decided to continue.

["Are you a boy or a girl?"]

"Well, now that most of you are here, I will explain how these work." Professor Oak showed a Pokedex and a Pokeball.

"This device is a pokemon encyclopedia and also an assistant, with which you can compare the pokemon in front of a normal one of its own species, with this button it will enter your information if someone asks for it, with this other you link the pokeballs to the Pokedex .... "Professor Oak went on to explain some more features and also how to reduce the size of the Pokeball.

After the great explanation, Professor Oak indicated what each pokemon was inside the pok balls, when he finished speaking, we were all looking at a specific Pokeball and we extended our hands with the intention of winning, but Nobody chose the same pokemon.

The Mayor's son chose Bulbasaur, Gary to Squirtle.

"Since now you already have your own pokemon, take this" Professor Oak told us to take a Pokedex and a bag with 10 pokeballs which were on a tray and each had the name of who it belonged to.

After choosing the pokemon we retired, but I started to explore the functions of the Pokédex while the other two went out, I noticed that I had 10,000 Pokecoins as a balance, but while hallucinating by the amount of money I have, a phone rang and when I turned I looked at a Redcap man speaking with Professor Oak, the man looked surprised for a moment, then send a Pokeball with a lightning stamp on it.

Ash, son of Red, interesting.
