Rex placed the second cigar down and patted his shoulder. "It is okay. I will do what is needed." He left the house and was at the entrance of the cave. This was where he saw his student but as much as he wanted to talk to her he has a job to do.
Ketan had drained the second last animal and was slightly going mad from the amount of blood and essence he was losing. "Rex, how much longer?" Ketan held out his hand and sighed a little when he saw that vial. "Thank goodness."
"Yes, he agreed but it might also be part of the fact that he was almost killed." Rex popped the cork off the vial and poured the contents into Ketan's mouth. He starts chanting and the black string forms. He tests the bond and sighs in relief.
