Chapter 5: Revenge

Authors Note:

-Sorry if this chapter was a bit lack luster due to my Writers Block and lack of experience with novels, if you have any suggestions then I'd happily read them in the comments :)

'I'm still not dead?'

Although being crushed by the titan snake's digestive track over and over again, somehow my body refused to accept death. My conscience refusing to waver despite the current situation. It felt as though I was being held back from dying...almost as if something was holding on to me, not letting me accept death. This presence although small at first started creeping up onto me until it was equivalent to be chained to a mountain. Death felt like a joke at this point, a distant fantasy. Whatever was stopping my soul from entering the afterlife refused to let go, only growing stronger and stronger.

This didn't go unnoticed tho, as the force kept getting stronger my host eventually noticed. Coming to a halt, it's reinforced scales ceasing to make a sound as they rested on the floor as if frozen. It's very aura that had once showed dominance had now retreated and in it's place fear and anguish took hold. One way or another this power had reached the unnerved snake as it laid there. If not for the throbbing of it's digestive track it would have been mistaken dead.

Inside I started to feel the familiar sense of legs, then ever so slowly the expansion of my chest as it started to grow back defying the ever so daunting digestive track. My vision started to stabilize as my body was reborn. My bones now pitch black giving off a metallic shine. A surge of power flowed into me as my body continued to expand.

The Titan Snake startled by this new development just laid there, UN-moving as its instincts kicked in. Entering a state of desperation, the snake shot itself to the closest wall making sure to whip its lower half against it. A bang rang out throughout the room as a crater dwarfing the one created by the skeleton obliterated the the ancient runes. Paying no heed to the immense recoil the titan continued it's onslaught of the walls.

'What was the impact! Thank the lord for the snakes scales and body fat otherwise that could have ended horribly! What's happening out there? Are we being attacked right now? Is their even a thing that would dare to fight this demon? Maybe I'm just over thinkin---nope! My bloody luck! I have to get out of this hell hole before it's to late!'

Trying to formulate a good plan takes time, which is something I don't have right now so I'll have no choice but to be a bit reckless, and that was exactly my plan. Ever since my body turned into this metallic black I noticed that the snakes digestive track posed no threat, and despite having titanium for scales it's heart couldn't have such a thing as it was a big safety hazard for the creature. With that information I had come up with a simple plan. Use the recoil of the snake to launch myself to it's hart and destroy it from the inside. This way I could simply exit via the mouth. Now with my plan formulated the only thing left was the execution.

"Thud"

The sound shook the inner of the snake, signalling the start of my plan. Pushing the sides of the snake I propelled myself forward using the momentum of the recoil. Gliding inside the surprisingly slippery surface of the beast, a luminous blue crystal despite only being the size of a fist flowed with power.

'That had to be the heart! There's no more escape!'

Grabbing the circular crystal in my left hand I proceeded to shatter it, despite holding immense power it shattered at the first display of power. Then a sudden silence took hold, 1 minute turned into 5 and 5 minutes turned into 10. Nothing happened.

'Is it finally dead? Have I killed it?'

Pushing my way through the mouth of the monster, a scene that could send beasts running was before me. In front of me was a room that was painted red, the once circular walls reduced to nothing more then rubble, dents littering the ground and the once heroic paintings on the roof nothing more then broken tiles. Not one part of the once captivating dome remained intact.

'What happened?! The entire place has been torn apart! Was all the shaking caused- BY THIS?'

While questioning the scene before me I noticed my black metallic bones had reverted back into there original form. Not only that, I remember hearing something from the system. Looking at my status, I saw that I had unlocked a new section called "Title" and in there were 3 titles that I had unlocked. Looking down I noticed something else.
