Chapter 10: Proposal IX
All quieted down and turned their eyes to the entrance; the people they were the most waiting to see which were also the reason this extravagant banquet was for had finally arrived.
Three people walked forward through the main palace's hall.
The man leading looks were that of a young man in his early twenties. His steps were steady without any flaws, waltzing forward at an even rhythm. The slight nigh breeze waved his pure white robes devoid of any patterns and even dust. Such ethereal aura that made look holy his simply half-tied and swaying jet-black hair, couldn't belong to anyone else but the world famous Holy Prince.
'He really does have golden eyes, just like mine in the past… but our expressions are totally opposite… his are soft like water and radiate the freedom of life, mine were… haa- even if my soul is light itself, my golden eyes were fickle. Ever changing, though most of the time they were stern and blazing dread…' Shen Rou was caught in her past memories: the latter were usually her looks on the enemies' eyes and sometimes in the eyes of her allies and friends; nevertheless, when her hands were set a bit free, she had many slips where her golden eyes displayed unknown lustres, why was so?

Shen Rou went into another daze with the Holy Prince's friendly salute, not hearing at all the following interchange of greetings. He wasn't being that respectful, though; he had a hand before his stomach and the other one down. However, his elegant poise, magnanimous smile and sublime air without any shred of being overbearing showed a courtesy from someone high above who didn't need to show anything to anyone.
With such a sight, Shen Rou couldn't help but blink with the Fourth Prince body, '… and his skin is beautifully pale, just like his pretty facial features but no one will ever dare to taunt him… I wonder if my aura will be able to outshine the charm of a Lady Man body…' his head tilted to a side as the thoughts drove another way, 'By the way, King Rui is also better looking in person, he has a young appearance and a reserved air on him; however, I heard he isn't in good terms with the Holy Prince... also, didn't the intel I got said Venerable Alchemist Gu was roped in by the Second Empress…'
"Umh?!" She snapped daydreaming when her awareness felt strong presences nearing her. The Fourth Prince's unfocused dark eyes that were looking down to the hall where the envoys stood, changed direction to the stairs at his right, 'When did they…?' The Holy Prince and company were already being led by a eunuch up to their seats; the greetings change had concluded who knows when.
