Chapter 45: Ahana's fury

He knew he must not let Nia misunderstand. But he realized that she had deliberately misinterpreted the situation, saying what Ahana wanted him to say, that he liked that evil woman. Yougal Lucas also understood that she had deliberately taunted him. But he would never lose patience with his woman. 'Yes she's mine, as much as I'm her. She's wary of me because she doesn't know me well.' He thought.

"I didn't have to ditch anyone because I have never been in a relationship. You're the one I want to have a relationship with." His voice was soft and low.

His words affected her composure in a way she did not like. She felt embarrassment. Almost everyone was staring at them. She also felt something else which she did not understand. It was an alien feeling.

Ahana saw fire in front of her eyes as she fumed with anger. "You witch, what sorcery have you used? Did you seduce him?" She screamed at Nia. Since Yougal Lucas ignored her, she attacked Nia.

Nia frowned. This drama was getting longer with the involvement of this peevish drama queen. Her cafe was not a place for drama and she disliked being part of it. All this was due to the man standing before her. Her annoyance led her to annoy him in turn.

"Mr Sinha, control your woman." Nia could see that he had no interest in the woman. But she was angry. "I understand she's a real fire spitting drakaina. But this is a place where people come to seek solitude. This is not a high society club to stage cheap drama of socialites and money mint like you."

Ayesha, Monikornika, Pynsuklin and the three friends of Yougal Lucas could not hold their laughter, though they felt bad for the man. The people in the cafe were amused too. Yougal Lucas was amazed by his lady love's quips and sarcasm. Her words were laced with acid but she wore a gentle expression on her beautiful face. 'She can kill with kindness.' He thought ruefully.

He was angry with Ahana for trying to hurt Nia with her venomous tongue. But he really wished that Nia seduced him, as Ahana had accused. If things were that easy he would not have to scratch his brain to think how to win her love. Planning business proposals, scheming to win deals, were easier than trying to be in the good book of the woman he loved.

"She's not my woman. The woman I want is in front of me. You're the one I love." Then he turned and stared coldly at Ahana. "You've meddled enough. You'll not use your dirty mouth either on her or to call my name. I'll make sure that you'll not come near either Nia or Yana."

Ahana almost choked with the anger and frustration triggered by Yougal Lucas' rejection in front of Nirvana, who she called That Witch. Yougal threatened her because of that woman Nirvana. She had waited for a long time for arrival of the correct moment, to reveal her feelings to him.

Seeing this woman, here at the cafe, who was a threat to her dream, especially when she saw how Yougal was staring at the sorceress she had lost her composure. Ahana was certain that if that witch had not seduced him, a man like Yougal Lucas would not have bluntly refused to acknowledge such a beautiful and elegant woman that she was.

In her eyes Nirvana was a witch, a sorceress, a seductress. Ahana had a definite plan to make Yougal Lucas her own. When he told Nirvana that he liked her, Ahana could not keep calm. She forgot that she had been loud even before Yougal confessed to Nirvana. She had a strong urge to turn the place around her upside down.

Ahana found it hard to believe that a commoner like Nirvana who wore simple dress succeeded in bewitching Yougal Lucas.

After both Nia and Yougal Lucas left the cafe, Ahana dashed to the nearest table and threw the empty cup on it to the floor. She was about to pick up a plate when a female security guard caught her hand and asked her to leave the restaurant.

"Ma'am, this way please." The security guard pointed towards the exit with a gesture of her hand. Her voice was polite but stern.

"Do you know who you are throwing out." One of Ahana's friend shouted.

"Sorry ma'am, I'm only carrying out an order."

Ahana knew it was fruitless to argue with the security guard. She left with her friends. Sitting in her car she asked the driver to take her back to home. The whole way to the home she boiled and bubbled with anger she could not vent. On reaching home she got off the car, slammed the door shut with her might and walked to the house.

As she was about to enter her bedroom a maid asked her if she needed anything.

"Get lost." She shouted at the maid.

Inside her room she threw the makeup item from the top of the dressing table, the small decorative items to the floor. Ahana sat down on the bed with her head on the hands.

She thought that she had gotten rid of Yougal Lucas' fiancee. She also thought that she had a perfect plan. She lay low for the past five years with the idea of approaching Yougal Lucas at the appropriate time. Maybe she should have approached him earlier.

Looking at the things now she felt that she had made a mistake in her plan. She should have really tried to get close to him instead of waiting for a proper time.

"I've sacrificed so much to make him my own. I've sacrificed my favourite cousin Amaaya and her husband Mayank, only to remove the hindrance called Nirvana that existed between Yougal and me. How can I lose my man to that woman after five years?" Ahana thought aloud. "I'll kill that woman Nirvana, I'll kill her like I killed..." She threw the glass flower vase and panted like a mad woman.
