Chapter 12: Meet Smoker In Logue Town
Finally they arrived at Logue Town. It was very famous town for it history. The pirate king, Gol D. Roger started his famous journey from here, and ended his journey also here. That was why the name of this town is logue, from proLOGUE and epiLOGUE. Jo didn't saw many pirates here. Maybe Smoker had already on duty here.
When Jo and his crew arrived at the port, the marine didn't do anything to him. As the fact that Jo never did a crime before, his bounty just for deterrent force to make him abide the law of The World Government. Because this world still not knew about bank, or maybe Jo never watch the full one piece mangas, he could only let the treasure on the ship. He hoped no one dare to touch his ship, or he would turn upside down this town.
Jo brought the wooden barrel with Nami and Miyuki beside him.
"Excuse me, can you tell me where the marine office of this town?" Jo asked politely to the passerby.
"Oh, you just need to follow this main street and you will see the marine office. The building has unique style, so you should able to distinguish it."
"Thanks old man." Jo said thanks.
Jo looked at Miyuk who still nervous. He patted her head and smiled.
"Don't worry, if Smoker dare to do anything to you, I will smack his head." Jo reassured her.
Miyuki looked at Jo and then she blushed. Jo just shook his head and continued his walk. Not long after, they arrived at the marine office. On the door, one marine was guarding the door.
"This is marine office, please state your name and your purpose!" the door guard shouted.
"Tell Smoker that I bring a big fish for him." Jo said lazily.
The marine guard nodded and called his companion to switch duty for a while. The guard immediately ran inside.
"Look, not every marine is like your captain. That door guard also has sense of duty. He didn't shoo us because of our status." Jo said to Miyuki and Nami. They were had bad memory with marine after all.
Suddenly someone said, "You are right. At least, my subordinates are good officer."
A smoke descended to the door and then transformed into a man with gray hair. He was Captain Smoker, the smoke man.
Jo nodded and replied, "Smoker, I have a big fish. Are you have a sea stone net? or A jail with sea stone? My fish can transform into mud."
Smoker nodded and bring them into marine office, to be exact was marine prison. Arrived at the prison, Jo threw the barrel into the prison. The barrel broken and Caribou in mud version splashed. After that, Smoker brought Jo and his crew into his room. There was a beautiful Takashigi who still cleaned her katana.
"She is my deputy, Takashigi. Takashigi, he is pirate hunter, Jo. You should had already know who he is." Smoker introduced each other side.
"Nice to meet you Miss Takashigi. If Smoker treat you badly, you can jump to my ship. I lack a combat crew. Of course, it is just offering." Jo open recruitment while the chance still available.
"Huh!" Takashigi stunned. Nami and Miyuki just shook their heads. Really, their captain was strange and unpredictable.
"Hoi hoi! She is my deputy." Smoker said.
"I also know that she is your deputy." Jo answered indifferently.
"Then, why you try to recruit her?" Smoker asked again.
"It is just an offer. Nothing more." Jo answered with salesman trade mark smile.
Nami and Miyuki went to Takashigi side and reassured her.
"Don't worry, Uncle really only offered his recruitment because you are beautiful." Nami said.
"Um um. He is really womanizer. Don't get caught by his sweet mouth." Miyuki said vigorously.
"Hei Hei! You two are my crew, you should help your captain desire!" Suddenly they heard Jo desperately shouted.
"Shut up, Uncle!" Nami shouted back.
In the end, Smoker gave 30 millions berry to Jo as bounty payment. It was enough for pocket money. Having two chick really made his pocket thin. He needed to earn pocket money for them.
Inside Smoker office, Takashigi still didn't know what going on. Smoker sighed and explained to her.
"He is the highest bounty in the East Blue, Jo The Pirate Hunter. The orange hair girl is Cat Burglar Nami. And the last is Miyuki, a retired marine. Or you can say that she is most prodigious in medicine."
"But why Miyuki didn't report back to marine?" Takashigi frowned.
"Nah, not all captain is good as me. She was unlucky to meet a lecher one. Maybe she lost hope of marine." Smoker said while sat down lazily.
Takashigi silent and sat down while held her katana tightly.
On Jo side...
After exiting Smoker office, he asked his crew to shopping. This was the last station before entering Grandline. And many pirate, merchant, and passerby crowded in here. And he knew that his crew would love to shopping sphere.
"Uncle! Let's try this shop!"
"Captain, this place look good too."
"No, let's try this shop first!"
Hearing Nami and Miyuki voice really made his head hurt. He knew from Anime that bringing girl friends shopping would give him huge headache. But experience it for the first place really made him tired. Thanks to his vitality and stamina, he could follow their shopping sphere, barely.
(Nah, you cannot underestimate women power when they on shopping sphere mode. Their power will be three or even ten times more powerful than normal. Little tip for husband, if your wife in bad mood, or had painful headache. Bring her to mall or super market. Her pain will vanish and move to your head instead.)
Miyuki brought many cute one piece dress, shoes, and several summer hat. A for Nami, she bought every shop that offer 80+% discount. When they back to their ship, Jo and Nami felt someone familiar nearby. He was Buggy with his several crew and a female. Jo instantly remembered who she was.
