Chapter 4: Beating Arlong For Pocket Money
He stealthy brought Nami to her house. When Nojiko saw a man carrying his sister, she surprised.
"Nami sister, can you help me take care of Nami. Look! Her skin is full of bruises and scratches." Jo said before any unnecessary question out.
He was a lazy man before transfered to this world. If not his willpower and infinite stamina, he even didn't want to bother with this damn world and only slept on the beach.
As a young man, he had tiny spark of adventure in his heart. Because of the trait he get when he was born, his dream as kid was buried deep inside his heart. Now, the God generously gift him with will power, stamina, and set of haki, how can he don't want to be an adventurer? And Nami was the best navigator in this world, he must made her to be his crew.
Back to the story, Nojiko immediately took care of Nami. Thankfully, her wounds were really only bruises and scratches. Nojiko could handle it. After Nojiko finished Nami treatment, she looked at Jo.
"Can you tell me who are you?"
Jo scratched his head. This girl vigilant level was really high. If he said that he only passersby uncle who accidentally help Nami, Nojiko must suspected him to be a perverted uncle. Nah, just answer her with bullshit.
"I'm a passersby who help that girl from marine harassment. That rat marine one." Jo answered.
Nojiko obviously didn't buy his answer. But Jo was too lazy to explain everything. He immediately went to Nami room and entered without permission. Strangely, Nojiko did not prevent him from entering her sister room.
Inside Nami room, Jo sat beside her on the bed. He looked at bandaged Nami with caring gaze. Nami obviously knew that her so-called uncle treated her with love.
"Jo, why do you always help me?"
"Hehe thanks not call me uncle again. As for why, I really want you to be my future navigator." he answered with smile.
Nami giggled after hearing Jo mentioned the uncle. But after hearing about the navigator, Nami became quiet.
After a brief silent, Nami asked, "Why me?"
"I know your dream, Nami." Jo answered confidently.
Without waiting her responds, Jo continued his word, "How about we make a deal. I will defeat Arlong and his crew, then set your village free. In exchange, you'll be my property. How?"
Nami quiet once again. It was hard decision. She really wanted to kill Arlong and his crew. But she didn't have power to do it. Now Her fake uncle offers a great deal. But the price is her freedom. But after remembering how Arlong wanted to renege the promise, she immediately made a decision.
"I want. If you can kill all of Arlong pirate, I will be your property."
"Nah, I cannot massacre all of them. It is bad karma. But if it just kill almost all of them, I can." Jo answered. He really mean it. It was bad karma for mass killing without mercy. And he knew that Hachy was good octopus.
Nami nodded understanding.
"It's a deal!"
"Deal" Nami nodded.
Then Jo sat on the available chair and slept. He did not want to confront them soon. He wanted to sleep. His lazy trait still intact inside his soul. And his hobby was sleeping.
"Tomorrow morning I will smack their head." Jo said to Nami.
Nami just nodded absent mindedly.
Next day, Jo and Nami went to Arlong den. No preparation was needed. Jo only brought a wooden stick as a weapon. He also brought a bag of banana chip. It made Nami speechless. The reason he brought the banana chip was for energy supply.
"Hit someone head also need energy, right?" Jo said that and chomped the chip.
"Uncle, I'm really speechless." Nami answered with helpless expression.
"Then don't comment about it." Jo lightly replied lightly.
"..."
They also went to Arlong Park without everyone knowing except Nojiko. The reason she knew because Jo asked her to make banana chips.
Back to Arlong Park gate, Jo used the most direct approach.
Boom!!!
He broke the gate with his punch. Nami covered her mouth. Her expression was full of fear. Her trauma still had largely influenced her mind. She afraid all Arlong crew would attack him together.
Instantly, the commotion broke upside down. The Arlong Pirate crew immediately alarmed. Without giving damn, Jo swung his stick that coated with armament haki to every fishman neck he met. Although he sympathized with Fishman slave fate, they still did not have the right to judge another human.
Seeing Jo swung his stick and killed every Fishman made Nami speechless. If from the start he was that ridiculously strong, why he not from the start abducted her? She was weak thief after all.
"Don't think to much. I was too lazy to abduct you before." Jo voice immediately snapped Nami out from her inner thought. Jo obviously knew what she think from her expression. A beautiful smile appeared on Nami face.
Nah, Jo strength was over powered all of Arlong crew. Their strength was too weak. If not because that corrupt rat, he would have been killed long time ago. Jo was really speechless with their low strength. When almost all of Arlong crew was killed, finally Arlong came out. With his shark teeth sword, Arlong started his assault. This Arlong was a good punching bag. Of course, Jo would use Arlong as training dummy.
After playing for awhile, Jo started to learn good fighting experience. His movement became more simple yet efficient. Of course, in front of a real master, his movement was nothing worth mentioning. He really liked this real training. His fighting skill was increased.
Without Arlong knowing, Jo had already done with his training. With just a swung, his neck was snapped. Very anti climax. Nah he was not a person with lot of bullshit after all.
"Hm, you are really a good punching bag." Jo commented.
Nami just looked at him with dumbfounded expression. She really didn't know how to say. She was happy, very happy. But she would soon became another person possession.
"Hei neko girl. Do your job properly. Arlong must have many treasures." Jo suddenly said.
Nami smiled after hearing that and immediately entered Arlong Park. Just like before, Nami took several bags from nowhere. It was magical. Even Jo wondering where she save the bags. They quickly cleaned up the treasure before marine came.
In the end, Nami didn't enter her own room. Maybe she has trauma with her room. Jo didn't want to think about it and let her do as her please. He back to the first floor and threw the octopus man to the sea. He also asked a bag from Nami for Arlong and Arlong's crew heads for bounty. Nah, it was a bad habit to waste something. Their head could be exchanged for his and Nami pocket money.
