Chapter 11: Drive
Going 90 in a 45, swerving trying to catch my breath.
Heart is racing, knowing how it's gonna end.
Spare those on the highway, it my fault.
No need to crash into those who were just around me.
I'm losing control, feel every muscle tense as I prepare.
The impact, was it mine or this wall that stopped me from living?
Now all they do is cry. Lost their little girl on the drive.
She was young and gone already but now they know .
And all her friends that hadn't spoken in years shed tears.
Those she spilled her secrets to and turned away show their face.
And it seems death has woken up everyone eyes and closed the ones who dies.
And this world never felt like home to me.
The sun bleeds light but never shines for me.
And all these voices in my head crowded my home.
No, this world never felt like home to me.
It wasn't night. Everyone could see it coming.
It was bright. But nobody payed attention.
Now a life, goes away without decision.
And all they do is cry, opening up their eyes.
They say the words they didn't when she lived.
Now she's gone, and they didn't see it coming.
Saying the kind words they never told her.
And ones who always beat her say they meant to love her.
And the ones who never listened say they wish they had heard her.
And those who left her come running back saying they needed her all along.
But this world never felt like home to me.
And the window looked like a nice place to dream.
Starting at heaven I could finally see.
That this planet isn't a home its just a place to leave.
So don't cry because she's gone, smile because she's in a better place.
