Chapter 10: Finally home
I wake up the next day by 11:51. I look around me and my eyes are greeted by the familiar walls of my room. It kinda feels like everything that happened last night was just a dream....and I really hoped It was.
I come out of my room, silently praying that when I get outside everything would just simply return back to the way it was before and the whole scenario would just turn out to be one heck of a twisted dream.
The house is quite silent, no in fact it was too quiet, so much that it reminds me of the loud silence that I experienced when the other Lori took over my body yesterday. I stand in the living room and there's still no sign of anyone. I was start to wonder if I'm in a dream or something but then a familiar voice startles me out of my thoughts
'Will you quit having such lousy thoughts?' 'Lori' says practically annoyed at the nonsense I was thinking. 'Oh it seems you forgot all about me, sorry to startle you though' she said sarcastically
"that must mean that everything really happened huh" I sighed knowing my hopes were for naught
I decide to go to Jeff's and Tony's homes because I can hear some noise from there since they only lived next door, but I wasn't prepared for what I saw.
As I come out of the door i see a crowd outside the house of tony which is directly opposite the one I live in. I walk across to their home squeezing through the crowd .
The people who feel something pushing past them look down and see me.
Most of them know me after all we all live in the same neighborhood
I hear them whispering to each other
"Hey, isn't that the kid that followed them to the woods"
"She's the only one that survived"
"Real lucky kid, eh?"
"Where's she going"
"isn't that brielle's daughter"
"Do you think we should stop her from seeing it"
"Look it's that kid, what's her name again?"
"I think it was lora or was it Loren"
"do you ever get someone's name right, you're wrong it's Lori"
" what the hell actually happened uh?"
"No one knows, but I think they were eaten by wild wolves"
"wasn't the child in the woods too"
"There are actually wolves in those woods?"
" don't ask me, I'm only guessing "
The chattering increased as i got the closer to the front
After finally squeezing out of the crowd, I turn pale at what I see
Tony's and Jeff's bodies had been found
But it was just as the townsfolk described it 'eaten by animals' . Most part of their bodies had been eaten but the only untouched part was their faces.
Too horrible.
My eyes had seen something that stirred the storm that had calmed, my mind is chaotic at this point
