The school looked better up close. Despite its small flaws, such as the trash can tipped over and the tables drawn on, Oliver couldn't help himself from smiling. His mother was right. Though he knew it will be hard, he had to leave his past behind an forget his misfortunes. But then he remembered something he had wished disappeared over the summer. His constant intrusive thoughts to check that the security cameras were working kicked in. He couldn't help it.
''You know, I feel like we should check the security cameras. How many do you suppose there are on campus?'' Oliver looked up at his mother. She rubbed her arm and sighed. Ever since the accident at her son's old school, he has been very concerned and conscious about security.
''That's not of importance right now Oliver. Head inside and talk with the principle. I'm dropping off Benjamin to school and then I'll be back.'' Oliver looked as his mother and brother walked away. He walked inside but still thought about the security cameras.
