Chapter 65: Sent Help

Cassie is sitting on the hard ground of the bay. Her head is buried in her knees. She doesn't regret she left Hiryuu Island. But what is she going to do now?

When she heard one of her schoolmates going to nearby Mainland City, an idea came up to her mind. She asks the fishing boat owner to bring her anywhere near the city. She paid a certain amount of the money she had saved for years. No one suspects she is leaving because everyone thought she was at school.

But everything is already what she planned. She will be picked up at the school and then disguised as the daughter to avoid questions from port inspection. The fisherman complained about why it was too strict right now than before? From going out and entering the island, everyone must check first.

After she arrived at the port, she parted with them and began inquiring about specific directions and addresses she wanted to go to. She was browsing her phone when someone snatched it from her hand. She tried to chase the guy, but someone picked him up on a motorcycle on the next street, and they went swiftly.

All the files and information were saved on her phone. She has no idea how much that phone was because she did not use one often in the past. It was the latest phone that was dreamed of by any mobile gamer because of its latest iOs update and RAM capacity. Anyone would buy it for half of the price only as long they will own that kind of phone.

She was still standing on the road when the motorbike rider that passed her grabbed her bag. She was pulled out along the bag that made her fall to the ground. She hit her head, which made her lose consciousness.

She woke up in a clinic. She asked the nurse if she could borrow the telephone. She also asked the lady if she could help her know the telephone number of the Empire Dragon Hotel or The Peninsula. She heard these names at the Bella Collection Fashion Show live streaming mentioned by the hosts that those places own by Crow Corporation.

The nurse told her to browse the internet. The kind nurse let her borrow the mobile phone, and Cassie quickly searched on Google, then dialed the number she found. But the receptionist was unfriendly and just hung up her call.

She never remembered to write down some contacts and hid them in her pocket. Even all the money she brought was all in the bag. She stared at the ocean helplessly. She did inquire if a fishing boat would sail to the island, but they said a typhoon was coming in the next couple of days.

She felt helpless more. Even if she went to Mainland City, she wonders if they would let her in if she looked for Shun personally in the hotel. Besides, she has no money for transport. Did she wonder if she could stay in the clinic until then? But first, she was hungry now.

"Sister! Sister!"

A boy is running towards her. He was the son of the couple that brought her to the clinic. She learned from the nurse that the boy didn't want to leave her while she lost consciousness. Said she was so pretty that he would protect her.

Cassie messed up his hair after remembering what the nurse told her. They said this area began having more trouble after a new gang had been straying around lately. She heard before that Daichi has a lot of gang members. It must be another gang because, for sure, brother Daichi's men like Mr. Thomas are good people.

"What is it?" she asked the cute boy named Vin.

"Mama said I should look for you, might you are hungry."

"Hey, beautiful lady."

At the moment, Shun, who is supervising at his Tab, wants to jump inside the screen after seeing that group of suspicious men coming close to Cassie.

After they found her, Meisha quickly went to the rooftop and started the helicopter. Blaire left behind to take care of other things.

He also ordered Aldean to hack all the cameras that possibly recorded why Cassie has a bandage on her head now. They've watched the whole incident with the help of the camera that is set in any ATM Machine, and one is from a store close by. With ATHENA, hacking a system is easy.

But right now, who are these men? Shun is troubled. They are still halfway.

Cassie turns her head. She saw a group of men coming toward them. She quickly got up and hid the boy behind her.

"Don't be afraid. We heard you want to go to Mainland City. We could take you there," said the guy who stands as the leader. His companion is grinning.

"No. I am fine. Thank you." She tried to refuse their offer politely. "Vin, let's go. I'm hungry now," she grabbed the boy's hand. She's hoping Vin could run fast if necessary.

But the men have now surrounded them. She can't get out. One of the guys tried to grab her, but a baseball ball hit his head.

"Oh, 1 point! See that?" Boosted by another man who was newly arrived, behind him are a large number of men.

Cassie was nervous. If there is a fight to happen now, how could she get away? And the boy is terrified.

"Wait, this territory is not yours! This is ours! Don't meddle in our business!"

"Really?" He blows the dust on his baseball bat. "What if our boss wanted this town? Huh? Don't tell us you own this town! This is originally my boss's territory!"

"What did you say!? Your boss is dreaming!" said the leader, and his gang laughed.

The second gang got angry with how they disrespected their boss. Few engaged in an attack that began the riot—the leader of the second gang running towards them. The first gang leader meets him halfway, and they exchange punches.

Five men stand in front of her. "Don't worry, Miss. We will protect you." Said one of them.

"Huh? Who are you? Why?"

"Boss Daichi sent us, Miss."

"Brother Daichi!?" she asked excitedly. She feels relieved now. Brother Daichi sent help after all. She wanted to cry.

The riot continued when a helicopter approached and attempted to land.

How do you find the present book cover? It was my first choice but I don't know how strict this site about the qualified book covers (copyright) so I used the animated one in the beginning. :)
