Another couple of days had passed. It's been a week since Cassie's accident, and her foot is healing well.
"Boss, here's the information you wanted," Rudolf placed a folder on the desk.
Shun picks it up and scans the details inside. His brows move upward, and his face frowns.
"What do you want me to do with them?" asked Rudolf.
"Did these boys wrong you?" he will keep asking his boss because he never had the interest to give attention to any teenagers before, especially these islanders. He was curious to know.
He was surprised when he asked to investigate three teenagers from Cassie's school. Shun glared at him, and it was not good. The funny part is, he had to get close to Joanna to know their full names and In-Game Name, then the server they were playing at...
He invested in this game and helped develop some parts of the game, like cheat codes. He created some hidden gifts found in special quests that could win it in limited-time play. It is a challenging quest, and you must keep upgrading your hero to win these rewards. Rudolf grins at how genius he is.
"Oi, why so much seriousness inside the room? What happened?" Daichi entered the library and was immediately seated on one of the couches beside the desk.
He notices Shun holding a folder with a solemn face. He knew him having that expression on his face when something happens that involves the people most dear to him.
"What's the matter?"
"I've been asking the same thing. I am investigating stuff. I don't know the real reason.
"He glances at Rudolf, then looks back at his boss. Shun stayed silent for a moment before he leaned on his chair. He then shared the conversation he had heard about in the school parking area.
Rudolf's face darkened from hearing it, but Daichi reacted the most. He slammed his left hand on the coffee table and angrily got up. He walks towards the desk and snatches the folder Shun is holding.
"Let me see the faces of those bastards! I will give them a good beating instead!" Daichi scanned the pictures.
Rudolf chuckled, then said, "What are you? Do you want to be the headline that an adult beats three High School boys?"
"What? Do you want to let them go off? Well, I am not, boss!"
"Yes, I want them to teach a lesson. But it is not my character to beat young boys, do I?"
"Then, you wanted me to handle this matter?" Rudolf guessed.
"Yes."
"Then I should delete their account right away."
"No."
Rudolf was now confused about what he wanted him to do.
"Just emptied all their resources and deleted all their achievements."
"That is just simple," he complains because the task is just a piece of cake. How disappointing.
Shun looked at him and sighed. He does really want to give them a beating, but that is not his pride.
"Let me have fun with them first," Rudolf grinned meaningfully.
"Just do whatever you think is best," Shun permits him to handle this matter.
Rudolf is his best hacker. He is not only an investor, but he developed the game. That's how obsessed he is... a 29 years old guy who is more interested in online games than looking for a girlfriend.
He opens his laptop, logs in to his account, and begins working on it.
"If we're me, I'll teach them a physical lesson!"
"I have a job for you, but I cannot trust you with a temper like yours."
Daichi looks at him questioningly, "What is it?" Curiosity was burning in his eyes.
"I want you to talk with the school principal as my representative. I want to build their basketball court into a covered court. I want it finished before the day of the prom."
"In this way, you have a reason to hang out inside the school every day, and...."
"And keep an eye on those boys?" He nodded. Daichi finished his sentence.
"Alright! Leave this to me!" Daichi is now smirking playfully.
"I'll call some of my gang!" After saying this, he reached his phone from his pocket and began typing a message.
Rudolf shook his head, "You won't beat them by your boys. Would you?"
"I wished I could, but the many the merrier." He keeps grinning.
Daichi may work for the Empire Dragon President, but he is more familiar with the gangster world.
He owns many gangster groups around the country. Not for illegal businesses, but it was he who tamed down all the gangs and taught them to work instead of bothering the citizens, especially the poor.
He knew a small construction firm whose almost the rest of the employees were from a gang. It may be a small company, but a reliable one, and the workers were diligent and dedicated to their job. He helped them do the right things and be productive instead.
"I've already told Kier to prepare the documents. The budget is ready."
Hearing this, Daichi gives him a thumbs up.
There's no other boss in the world that you could just be treated this way as an ordinary co-worker. Well, not the rest of them. Only a few employees could normally act in front of him.
Or, he wanted to say that Shun has become softer since meeting Cassie. He only showed concern and an excellent mood for her half-sister, Blaire.
