SHUN'S POV
He left the kitchen to get some lemon from the front yard garden within the Villa. Cassie got up from the sofa and then suddenly ran towards the main door.
But what happens next is that his soul jumps out from his body.
If only he could do that for real, like in the Chinese martial arts movies, and do some magic.
He was terrified witnessing Cassandra slipping on the floor and slamming herself into the nearby dresser, and the vases fell on her head.
"Cassandra!!" he screamed.
He ran as fast as he could... if only he has superpowers like The Flash to catch her.
"My god, Cassandra!"
He kneels on the floor and clears away the broken vases left on her body. He could hear her groaning...
Cassie tries to reach her head, but a pain twinge on her right shoulder.
"I will take you to the hospital," he said. He's about to shout to call Jing when Cassie stops him.
"Shun, no... I am fine," she told him despite the pain registered over her face.
He was stunned for a moment. What is this? Did he hear correctly? Does he need to hit Cassie's head to make her call his name?
Now he doesn't know whether to smile comfortingly or laugh amusingly. It looked like she needed to hit her head first to make her say his name.
"Boss!"
Rudolf and Daichi rush to the living room after hearing the boss shout loudly.
"Missy!" Daichi yelled, seeing her lying on the floor and broken vases scattered all over the floor.
Jing and the two bodyguards who followed him entered the front door.
"Boss, what happened?" Jing asked.
"How was your head?" he asked her, his voice full of concern.
"I'm fine. It's not that hurting much," she answered.
Shun carried her carefully and gently, putting her down on the long sofa.
"Which other parts hurt? How about your foot?" he asks worriedly.
He saw how her right leg flung toward the dresser after gliding out. He examines her foot, and Cassie moans in pain when he holds her ankle. It was now slightly swollen.
"Who spilled the water on the floor?" Shun asks the present people that gather around.
Rudolf glared at Daichi, pointing at him as the suspect.
"Eh... Don't look at me like that, Rudolf! I was about to mop the wet floor when you urged me to cut the onions! I'm sorry, boss! I do really want to wipe it out!"
Daichi kneels on the floor, begging. "Missy, I am very sorry."
Cassie was a bit surprised by Daichi's action.
"No. Mr. Daichi, it's alright... it's not your fault." she was astounded by how he kneeled in front of her to ask forgiveness. She does see he was sincerely worried about her. She smiled.
"Missy..."
"What are you waiting for? Go and get some ice packs." Shun commanded in a solemn tone.
Daichi knew that Shun was trying to control his anger. "I will go get them now, boss!" He got up and ran to the kitchen.
"How about the food?" she asked after she remembered they were in the middle of cooking.
"I'll go finish cooking before they burn," Rudolf offers.
"I'll go get a mop, boss... you two, go back to your posts," said Jing. Then he commanded the two bodyguards. They nodded, then left.
Jing went to the back of the villa to get a mop from the servant's quarters where they are staying now.

Observing these men running around the house left a great impression on her.
Cassie was astounded at how these men worked like they are customary to do things together. For example, Rudolf, who was in the kitchen finishing what Shun was preparing, Mr. Jing is now mopping the floor, and Daichi is assisting Shun if he needs something to tend to her bruises.
Shun softly massages her right foot, sometimes sharp pain cramps that she could kick her foot.
"You need to see a doctor," Shun suggested, his voice is full of concerns. "Your head needs to be examined as well," he added.
"Okay, but it is night now; the clinic won't accept night check-ups," she told him.
"What?" No 24 hours hospital will check the outpatient. Shun is still surprised even though he already realizes that this is just a tiny island.
What a hard life people had on this island? Including Cassie, especially her, many things were running inside his head.
* * *
"Cassie!?" A scream from the main door.
"Joanna," she smiled at her.
"What the heck had happened to you!?" she asked worriedly, but her father grabbed her and glared at her.
"Good evening, Mr. Crow," Ruben Chang greeted his new boss. He then bowed while pinching his daughter on the waist to do the same.
Joanna then remembered to bow, embarrassed of her action earlier... Of course, she was shocked seeing Cassie patting an ice pack to her head, then an Adonis massaging her foot."What happens to you?" Joanna whispered this time.
"When you texted that you were on your way, I ran outside to wait at the gate, but I slipped on the floor," she explains.
"Then it's my fault!?" Joanna blurts out.
"Silly. No one's fault."
"Then who spilled the water on the floor!?" That's not a whisper anymore.
"Ahem..." Daichi clears his throat, then whistles and pretends to arrange the photo frames on the wall.
"I think I know now who's the suspect," Joanna whispers at her once again. Cassie giggles.
"Boss, dinner is ready," Rudolf announced.
Joanna, who leans at Cassie on the sofa, looks up to see the man that spoke. Her mouth dropped, seeing what a beautiful man owns a beautiful manly voice.
"Bring over the food here," Shun ordered.
Rudolf nodded. Joanna's eyes sparkle hearing about dinner. It was the reason she came over!
What a pleasure to taste the food prepared by handsome men!
* * *
Food lay in front of them; Cassie and Joanna sighed in satisfaction. The food may be just pasta, vegetable salad, macaroni, and toasted garlic bread, but it was like they were eating at an Italian restaurant.
The food Cassie had eaten earlier during lunch was good, but having the cuisine Shun makes for dinner is like the best in the world.
Joanna helps out to clean the kitchen and wash the plates. Shun brought Cassie to her bedroom, and again he checked the bruises she got. Then Shun realized that she couldn't move her right shoulder.
"You ask Joanna's help to check your shoulder and back if you did not get some bruises there as well."
Cassie nodded. He wanted to check them himself, but he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable with him.
She rolled her pants to check her knee, and a big bruise now swelled. Shun sighed, upset registered on his face.
"You really need to see a doctor tomorrow."
She nodded. "Okay."
Someone will be pampered...
The very next day, Shun brought Cassie to the only hospital on the island. She received a thorough check-up and tests. Her head only gets a minor injury and not a serious one, only that she got bruises on her right leg and right shoulder that made it hard to move or use her right arm.
But her ankle got a sprain that made it poorly swollen, and it will be difficult to walk, so she was advised not to move around and avoid stressing her foot to get worse.
And because of it, she had to take a long absence from school and decided that Joanna would come to the villa to help her do their homework and tutor the lessons they had for the day... she was just given the assignment to catch up.
Shun spoiled her by making different dishes every day and always attended to her if she needed anything. She blushed every time she requested him to go to the toilet or take a bath because he had to carry her again, which made her heart go wild.
But in these passing couple of days, it was auntie Ling who made and served her meals. According to the middle-aged woman, Shun had many works and documents to take care of, which caused him to run around the island.
Auntie Ling also told her that Shun often stayed inside the library talking in front of the computer, and his meetings at Seagull Resort every day ended very late at night.
It's been six days since that mishap happened, and Cassie has been so bored already. She was trying to spend time reading the books Daichi lent her; she was surprised that he was actually a book lover.
She concentrated on that chapter because the heroine unveils a truth when someone knocks on her door.
"Cassandra?" Shun entered the room, that made surprised her.
"Ahm..." she did not respond but stayed silent... as usual, she couldn't decide whether to call him by his name or say brother Shun.
She stared at him intently. He looks pretty exhausted today. She felt a little guilty that Shun was always by her side these passing few days, and she thought that it was her who kept Shun away from his works.
"What are you doing here?" she asked afterward.
Shun's forehead shows some black lines, "Why? This is my home," he replied. He freezes a moment and weighs if his tones aren't offending. Tiredness triggers his mood.
He smiled and patted her head, "I finished my work early today, so I have free time now. My next meeting will be this evening, so I could take a break for now," he said, then sat on her bed.
"How are you feeling?"
"I feel better," she smiled.
But deep down, she believes that Shun still has a lot of work to do but is still trying to give her time, and with this, she can't avoid feeling pleased.
Shun has done so much for her. If she ever did not meet him, she knew that she would never get pampered like this.
"I am sure you are so bored already. I'll bring you to the poolside. Do you like that?"
With this, her eyes spark, and Shun sees it and understands.
He picked her up and carried her downstairs to the poolside. He put her down carefully and ensured it wouldn't touch her right foot.
Not long ago, auntie Ling brought them some coffee and muffins, which looked tasty. Shun asked about her lessons and if she was able to catch up. She answered that she has problems solving Math and trouble with Physics.
Shun went to her bedroom to get her books, and he tutored her on what she couldn't understand. Cassie overwhelms by how Shun is helping her with her lessons as well. With his explanation, the problems and solutions could solve quickly.
He kept accompanying her for a couple of hours until Joanna arrived and finished all the muffins in front of them. Her best friend enjoyed her stay because of the food she got to eat. Cassie just shook her head and giggled while staring amusingly at Joanna. She doesn't care if she shows no etiquette or modesty; that's Joanna for her.
***
Wonderful dinner just served on the poolside. It's getting cold, so Shun is carrying her back to her bedroom. If only her right shoulder hadn't hurt, she could walk with the help of crutches...since she can't use her right arm for a while, she has to be carried around.
During the days that Shun was so busy at work, Daichi was helping her around, and she felt more comfortable with him because of her comical character. Unlike Shun's presence, she can't avoid not feeling nervous. She felt like Shun was devouring her whole being, unsettling her heartbeat.
After Cassie settled down to her bed and prepared to rest, Shun headed to the Library and continued all the work he had left to be with Cassie. He doesn't want her to think she was abandoned. But one of the reasons is that he can't concentrate on his work when Daichi is laughing so loud from Cassie's room. Shockingly, it makes him mad without a valid reason.
And his next move is more unexpected. To his irritation, he texted Daichi to bake some muffins for Cassie. In this way, Daichi would shut up, but he's been boasting and was excited to show his other hidden skills.
What is he doing? Is this even his usual self? Shun thought for a moment before shaking his head and trying to get back to his work. He needs to prepare for the meeting.
