Chapter 2: Things are looking better(including myself)
I glanced over at the options on the screen. "[Eight Spider Lances]… That's from whatchamacallit, Doulou Dalu, or something right?" I said to myself. I concentrated on them like with my beast form, and in a few seconds an itchy feeling started from my back. Eight small rods stuck out from my back. After the rods were formed, a metallic blue spider leg protruded from each rod. At the end was a very sharp point, and the legs were each longer than my body. I could lift myself up easily with them. I could also feel they were very sturdy, and wouldn't break easily at all. I decided to take them back in, and train with them later, as well as the other two evolutions.
I decided to head to the small forest near my house before continuing my experimentation. I walked towards my house a few blocks away, completely forgetting about the next class period for the school day. The entire fight happened around the back of the school.
After about twenty minutes of walking, I reached my house. I decided to get a snack before heading out. I walked in, closing the door behind me, and headed towards the kitchen. As I passed the living room, I noticed my mom hammered on the couch, like always. I walked into the kitchen and opened a cabinet. Should I get cool ranch or spicy nacho? I decided on the clearly superior cool ranch, before sitting in one of the chairs in the dining room. I popped open the bag of chips and started to eat. While I was eating, I contemplated. "If I got powers, other people must have too, right? I should probably not let anyone find out, lest I get into trouble with some supernatural bullshit" I thought. I finished the bag of chips and got a bag of water, then headed for the front door.
I walked a few blocks in the opposite direction of school, where the small forest is. After I made my way through the initial underbrush, and made sure I couldn't be seen. I concentrated on my beast form. After a few seconds of itching and transforming. A giant saber-toothed liger day in my place. The only way you could tell it was a liger and not a tiger, was the mane around my neck, giving me an air of nobility. I roared, thinking it would sound majestic, only to find that it sounded more like a slightly deeper-voiced meow than it should. Slightly embarrassed, I looked around for something to hunt, as the instincts of this body compelled me to. The instincts could be easily ignored, as they were not as strong as they are made out to be, but I decided to follow them anyway.
I stalked through the forest, following the hunting methods this body already possessed. I turned around a tree into a clearing and was met with a bear staring right at me. A fucking bear, and here I thought this was gonna be simple. The bear instantly rushed towards me, and I was to slow to react, and the only thing that went through my mind was "defense". My fur instantly retracted and blue scales covered my body. As the bear tried to scratch me, the claws scraped of my scales, leaving a light white line that would easily heal over. I quickly regained my confidence and unsheathed my claws. I raised my paw to claw the bear in the face, and left a deep mark that took out an eye. The now enraged bear looked at me with hatred in its remaining eye. It rushed towards me with reckless abandon. It opened its mouth while aiming at my throat, preparing to strike a killing blow. I dashed to the side of the bear and dodged its bite as I prepared an attack of my own. I jumped towards the bear and sent another set of claws towards its face, taking out its other eye and part of its nose.
The bear staggered back before rushing at me, preparing to deal a killing blue once again. I ran towards him, but as he was about to bite, I crouched under it and bit into its throat with my cerated saber-teeth. After it was dead, the blood on my teeth and claws was absorbed as another message rang in my head.

I quickly got excited over the evolution options. I considered my choices before selecting the musculature, as my claws were sharp, my hide was tough, and my teeth were what made me what I am. I unconsciously deactivated [Dragon Skin] as the musculature option was chosen.
I quickly activated the evolution, and could feel my body strength increase by at least 50%. I then remembered the 25 [Blood points] I quickly selected the lottery and did a spin. As the wheel stopped, my eyes were wide as I saw the evolution [Kagune-Rinkaku].
