Astral projection is a state where your soul and your consciousness unite to create astral body. You can achieve the state through meditation. To astral project through meditation first lay on your back and completely relax your body. you may feel the need to move or scratch an itch this is your body trying to see if your mind you still awake. This normally occurs after you fall asleep. If this occurs while meditating don't move or scratch the itch it will go away in a few seconds. While in that relaxed state imagine that you're climbing up a ladder. During this section of the meditation you may feel vibrations going up and down your body and hear footsteps or something equivalent to a freight train sound. Once you are done hearing the noise turn around and see if you see yourself laying down if you do you can now explore the astral realm. You will always come back to your body no matter what unless your silver cord is cut but that is nearly impossible as we live in the lower dimensional plain. This may not work the first few times but I assure you this technique works.
