Chapter 2: A job opportunity
My best friend Eleanor knew that I was looking for a job so she told me when ever she saw an opening to see if it interests me. Non of her recommendations had fit my style before today. Today she saw an opening as an exorcist. Rose was the only one home so I told her I would be back by dinner. Rose reminded me to wear my sunglasses. I always wear sunglasses not because I need them but because my eyes and hair raise alot of questions. it is just easier to where sunglasses than answer all those questions. I headed to the building listed on the ad and talked to the receptionist.
"Hello how may I help you today sir."
"I'm looking to see if I can get this job as an exorcist."
"First door on the left sir have a good day."
I said thank you and headed into the room. In the room the was a tall man at a desk. I entered he let me sit down and then started asking me questions.
" Are you here for the exorcist job and can you please take off you sunglasses so we can have a proper conversation?"
"yes I am here for the job." While saying that I gently took off my sunglasses, folded them and set them on the desk.
"Ok,what is your name and do you have any previous work experience?"
" My name is Alexandros but I go by Alex and no because I was waiting for my little sisters to graduate."
"One last thing did you bring you birth certificate?"
"well I have my adoption certificate."
" That is fine but on the subject where are you from?"
"I do not know who my parents were or where I am from because I was abandoned when I was 8 months old. All I have from them is this locket and a letter."
"May I see that locket for a minute?"
"I guess." hands him the locket.
looks at it and gasps." this is amazing do you know what this symbols mean?"
"no not at all."
"anyway you've got the job you start tomorrow at 8:30 sharp."
I say goodbye and thank you, pick up my sunglasses and leave.
