Chapter 1085: Proposal

"Why are you crying?" Rune was baffled by Rose's tears. If she understood his situation as an immortal and she could accept him as he was... then, why was she crying?

This was obviously not happy tears because Rune had known her well enough to tell apart when she was crying because she was happy and when she was sad.

"Did I say something hurtful?" he asked again, looking panicked. Rune pulled Rose into his embrace and tried to calm her down. "If so, I apologize. I don't mean to make you sad. Please let me know what you are thinking."

Rose tried to hold back her tears but it was so hard and, for a while, she was sobbing on his chest. This moment suddenly gave her clarity of how much she had loved this man that the thought of being separated by death made her feel really sad.
