Chapter 9: Crashed

Out of all the System's features 'training games' really satisfied my need for freedom and most importantly battle, my only wish is if I could have found it earlier. Even after my one hundred and fifty-two battles… I haven't won once. I've had a many simulated matches with King Vageta and I will attest his battle prowess overwhelm me physically and battle ability although I don't want to make excuses, but my small stature gives me no advantages. Though in my 'Ozaru form' my Ki level is multiplied by ten times, but even then, and I'm reluctant to admit… I'm inferior to him with roughly eight thousand Ki between us. I haven't given up, the need to increase my battle power is like a raging storm within me.

I've noticed my mental state in the Ozaru form has been getting clearer… I still have absolutely no control over my actions, but I can feel that I'm moving in the correct direction. Racing emotions and a crave for destruction in the Ozaru form are hard to navigate and even when I'm lucid enough to attempt to control my actions I could feel a mental force restricting and binding my control to be a mere observer. I cannot understand the reason why, but what I do know is… if I cannot control myself in this form… I won't be able to win a single battle against any opponent not just a simulated one.

'System' I call out after a few hours of rest from my last training session. ~Ding-Ding~ it responds awaiting my command. 'Generate the saved file "Blue Skies" The view before my eyes of the inside of the space pod begins to fade and tall mountains appear in the distance and green grass below my feet in the other direction, I see a deep blue ocean.

From my vantage point of being in the center of an oasis I felt at peace, when looking above I can see a cloudless blue sky and a bright yellow sun beaming down on top. Taking a deep breath, I would swear to anyone asking me I was actually standing in a real deserted piece of land, I smell a light saltiness caught drifting on a gentle breeze caressing my hair and tickling my nose. Weeks ago, I was attempting to understand more of what the TG 'Training Games' features can do, and I had a breakthrough on my understanding of the TG program, unbelievably my work from my previous life actually came in handy.

Although, my abilities are subpar at best when I work on a system so much more advanced than anything I seen in my last life, but I was still am able to accomplish creating a different environment in my TG. I've debated on creating a version of 'The room of spirit and time" to be honest I am unsure how the system is able to have an effect on my body, but I've began to reason, since my Ki level increases with the 'image training' and the TG program then maybe other trainings in this system might also have similar effects on my body.

~3… 2… 1… Begin battle simulation! ~ The system announced. I quickly got into a battle stance I attempted emulate from when I seen my father's last battle with the real King Vageta. I placed my right leg a step-in front of my body, my left was a step and a half behind my other and my right is slightly pointed towards the clear area to my right. Then I held my arms in front of my body awaiting the opportunity to deflect oncoming punches or kicks. Although, my fighting stance was probably a poor imitation of my fathers, I could feel I was step by step getting more accustomed to reacting to sudden attacks. Fire from the sky crashed to the ground exploding an area miles' away I felt the ground shake as smoke and clouds of debris litter the sky and covered the earth in its direction. Then I saw him, about thirty yards to my left a shadowy form was walking in my direction the wind hid his obscure figure.

Clearly, I could hear each one of his heavy steps. As if, each step was the only sound my ears could hear was these halting steps, the loose earth beneath him slowing his natural pace. A cape attached to his shoulders shifted behind him, it had caught the wind and shifted like the smoke and sand. I was again amazed by the simulation's attention to detail the sounds smells and even the pressure coming from King Vageta also seem very real. Before King Vageta could take the initiative in our upcoming battle, I brought the fight to him.

My rapid steps echoed in the surroundings and I could see the king's steps halt… The closer I got to the massive figure the more I could see his face, unsurprisingly he was the picture of royal contempt. I launched my first attack on him with a low swipe to his feet, but he only dodged my attempt by jumping into the air while he coldly smiled down at me. I pushed off the ground with my tail and aimed my elbow to his unguarded left side, I could tell I must have surprised him with my attack because my elbow was able to get a lot closer to hitting him than my previous attacks.

Blocking my elbow with his large palm he clearly was starting to lose patience. I received a swift knee to my stomach. Knocking the breath out of me the force flung me half way to the distant ocean. The pain I received from the attack must have set something inside me loose, because I began to feel myself transform Ozaru. After I slid to a stop on a distant sandy hill the force of the blow made the earth pile around my small body, frustrated I arose with a fierce look on my face. Although, I normally wouldn't be able to transform without a full moon, inside the TG program this rule should be considered voided. Due to the TG program's main purpose being to help me control my transformed state, this rule will not apply. My body had already grown until I was at the same height at King Vageta's, when I launched my attack for the second time, Vageta had to take me more seriously.

My punches were as quick as the wind and kicks left after images, but each fist was parried, ever kick was blocked. While each of my attacks were received by King Vageta I continued to fight, receiving the simulations abuse my figure started to appear in a sorry sight. Swinging my arms and legs I fought for a chance to breach his defenses. For hours I continued to fight steadily losing patience and getting more roughed up, blood pooled around my figure, each punch sent me riling and each kick sent me through a mountain. Until I felt my Ki spike as the world around me began to bleed together. Suddenly, I was standing in front of my attacker and my punches and kicks were so much quicker. Not many people would be able to tell one attack from the next, the king continued to block each and every attack I threw at him but I could tell although my hits were something he would usually consider weak, he was starting to have more trouble blocking my tirade. Happily I noticed, my base Ki level was increasing at a crazy rate 227… 245… 300… 600… at last I was nearly in my full Ozaru form and my consciousness was quickly fading as the battle went onward.

I was fighting for control but losing, I knew if I lost complete control the battle wouldn't be on the winning side once, I awoke. But the force inside of me were going wild, my body started then to shake with a heavy force I was holding back. Finally my conscious fully faded and my inner beast took the navigation from my hands.

Seven days later I woke up again, but instead of the system showing one hundred and fifty-three losses as I expected. In large letters in front of me it says- Loss 152 Won 0 Tied – 1. I could have been knocked over with a feather at that moment! I… Ti… I tied?

But before I could completely absorb my new change in stats, I was notified of a problem with my space pod by a loud voice saying... ~Warning-Warning~ Navigation disrupted by space debris has caused a detour in route. Due to an unusual high gravity pull your pods are in a direct collision with an unknown planet. Due to this Error in calculation crash landing is imminent~

My blood ran cold and sweat ran down my back. 'Dammit! Are you F*cking kidding me?' I yelled in frustration. 'System – are there any signs of life on this planet?' I asked feeling a little worried. ~Ding-Ding~ ' Unknown' the system declared it's robotic voice made me grind my teeth. I asked a follow up question. 'What about technology? Are you able to detect any?' ~Ding-Ding~ 'At the current range of scans I am unable to verify, but I do detect an atmosphere compatible with your companion and yourself '. With a grim frown on my face I nodded in affirmation and braced my self for impact.
