Chapter 5: The Hospital
The hospital that Anaya worked in was called New Life Hospital and belonged to the Oberoi family. But no one knew it besides the hospital director, not even Anaya.
As the Oberois were insanely rich, they maintained a good atmosphere at the hospital and was extremely facilitated and well maintained. As the name suggests itself, it wasn't an extremely costly hospital instead it focused mainly on average people with average income and provided them with the best care. It was the best hospital in the entire country in every aspect be it facility, cost, management, and the doctors.
Thus it was a dream hospital for every doctor to work in as it provides the best experience and had a high salary. The doctors had to go through strict interviews and had to have very good knowledge to work there. Anaya also went through these to work there. Even the nurses and other staff were the best in the field.
Once anyone knew that they were working at that hospital they would get great respect from everyone. Just their mention about the name of the hospital was enough to let the people know about their intelligence. Thus one could guess that she was a very qualified doctor.
Despite her introvert personality, Anaya was a totally different person at work. At home, she was a warm and gentle person but at work, she changes to a cold person. Even though she maintained her quietness, she was frightening.
Sometimes it is just necessary for a doctor to be cold. As there are many patients who take their treatment lightly and just ignore doctor's advice for care. To be able to handle those patients , a doctor has to have these qualities so as to patient would follow their advice as knowing how frightening they may become and Anaya was one such person.
She was extremely gentle with an obedient patient and became like an angry monster for the ones who liked to cause trouble.
As such entire hospital staff was wary of her. They would listen to her orders and advice and didn't dare to oppose her. Even though they feared her they didn't dislike her as she never made useless orders and took advantage of her superiority. Every remark she made and every order she gave would be beneficial to them so they had high respect for her.
But having respect and being friendly was a totally different thing. As she had a cold personality no one wanted to befriend her and no one wanted to involve her in any gathering or in any trip as they could not stand her aura and couldn't enjoy anything in her presence.
Anaya knew this but she didn't mind it. It was very hard for her to make new friends and she didn't want to kill the joy of others just so she could attend any happening which even she wouldn't enjoy if she attended.
How did she know this? Well when she just joined the hospital for the first time, there was a small get together in her gynecology department to welcome her. Given her personality, she didn't talk much and the entire event was very awkward. Since then no one wanted to invite her and she herself avoided going to such places.
